Molinari is the best, period.
I love Molinari salami. 1st had it in Napa Valley, and thendiscovered it closer to my California home, and purchased it often. Now I don't live in California, I miss some of the things we can't purchase here.I used to pay what 8 bucks(?) pre-covid for the 12 oz'er, now I gotta pony up $25.But I look at it this way. All the money I'm saving not living in Cali, I can afford it!It is what it is. It's just the tastiest, perfect texture salami out there, so good with fancy cheese, crackers and a glass of wine. I think the 12oz is the best size, slightly soft when warm, hard when cold. The little tiny ones are better at room temp, not seeing those online though. So regarding Parthenon, shipping is pretty slow, almost 2 weeks. Product was good when it got here.Funny, it's ships from the Midwest, not SF. I'm only 400 miles from SF butMolinari want like $30 just for shipping if you order direct!

### TASTES LIKE CHLOROX ###
I read the other reviews and they seemed to be good. The one I received tasted like chlorox with a heavy chlorox aftertaste. NOT RECOMMENDED at all. Had to throw out almost the whole thing!!! BAD!! STAY AWAY!!!

Very good
I’ve eaten this salami for 30 years. Some of the best salami I’ve eaten if not the best.

didnt seem as fresh
Molinari salamis are the best as a native San Franciscan and Italian I grew up around them but the 2 I ordered seemed hard and not as fresh as I would like. Try them with Vella high moisture jack cheese and Boudin San Francisco sourdough the combination is to die for.

Great dry salami
First, you should be aware that this salami has a natural mold casing. I found it hilarious that people were complaining this arrived all “moldy”. The mold acts as a natural deterrent to bacterial invasion (think penicillin), but also imparts a sharp flavor to the salami, despite removing the casing before eating (which isn’t necessary, but I usually do so I’m not overwhelmed with that flavor). The salami itself is quite mild, with a tender bite - really quite wonderful for a dry salami. The sharp flavor from the casing adds another layer to the flavor, making the experience quite unique. This can be a difficult salami to find, so I suggest you buy some when it’s available. One of my favorites for decades now.
