Q: Do you have to fill the "moat" with water? I don't see any water in there in any of the photos or videos.

Water goes into the clear tray so that ants cannot get across to the sugar water in the middle, red tray.

Q: Does this feeder come with the red liquid?

There is no red liquid. The red you see in the photo is the feeder made from red plastic. Hummingbirds do not need red in their food if the feeder is red.

Q: Will hummingbirds visit a window on the second level?

Yes! I live on the 4th floor of an apartment complex and I get plenty of visitors! You may need some flowers or colorful items to get their attention to know to fly up there.
