Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the beloved Peanuts Gang make their big-screen debut, like they’ve never been seen before, in state of the art 3D animation. Charlie Brown, the world’s most beloved underdog, embarks upon an epic and heroic quest, while his best pal, the lovable beagle Snoopy, takes to the skies to pursue his arch-nemesis, the Red Baron. From the imagination of Charles M. Schulz and the creators of the Ice Age films, The Peanuts Movie will prove that every underdog has his day.

Simply “Wow”
I have 1 word to describe this movie. That word is “wow!” I do not have any ultra-HD devices (that I know of); but, I did not need that. The message within the movie is powerful enough. I felt that I could relate to a decent amount of it. I could not stop feeling bad for Charlie Brown and Pig-Pen. Charlie Brown’s life represents the common “Why me?” or “Why always me?” feelings. The red-haired girl reminds us about how we have worth that far exceeds what we see. Although our sense of self-worth might feel “in the dumps” or “in the toilet,” our worth to others generally goes unnoticed. Although the timing of my order was not when I intended it, I am glad that it happened, even if only by accident. It was what we, as humankind, perceive as “an accident.” But, despite some words that I do not care so much for (notably a word beginning with R, ending with L, and containing the common abbreviation for Electronic Arts sandwiched between them), the message was quite touching for me. I do strongly encourage the watching of this movie and will give a warning that it is a tearjerker (especially when Charlie Brown does talk with the little red-haired girl). I teared up during that. This movie deserves a quantity of stars that, if stacked, reached to the stars. 🤣 Oh, with regard to Pig-Pen (as I mentioned him, but went no further, oops), he reminds me of Casper the Friendly Ghost. He simply desires to have friends and be friendly to people; but, some others do not desire to be around him because he smells bad. This is similar to how most people are scared away by Casper’s presence simply because he is a ghost. The girl who wanted to dance with Pig-Pen is also a reminder of our oft unseen worth to other people.

A Great Charlie Brown Film
My kids and I decided to have a movie night so I looked on Amazon for a new release of a kid friendly film. I chose this one after watching the promo for it. It wasn't available for rent, so I went ahead and bought a digital HD copy from Amazon. I personally wasn't expecting much so I was surprised how much I liked this film. My kids (6 and 4) both loved it. It featured a cute main story line with Charlie Brown and a sub-story line with Snoopy and "the Red Barron". This movie featured great music that fit with the story and had an upbeat story line while staying true to what made Charlie Brown such a great comic strip. The best part about this movie was that it is totally appropriate for kids. I am comfortable with my kids watching it unsupervised. So if you are on the fence about this movie, go ahead and watch it. It is a really cute film.

I LOVE SNOOPY AND IT'S TIME TO GET PEANUTIZED!!!!
I LOVE SNOOPY SO MUCH that I saw this movie and I'm a DIE HARD PEANUTS FAN!!! (Charles) Schulz made us dream big through his imagination in his comic strip and Snoopy taught us that there's a lot of good over evil. Lucy keeps pulling away the football, Schroeder plays the piano, Linus has the blanket. The movie also has themes that you should never disturb.Because of this movie, I've been PEANUTIZED!!! I see the Peanuts specials whenever they came on television, I saw clips on YouTube on how to draw the various Peanuts characters by Paige Braddock, who works in Schulz Studio, I have a Peanuts blanket with all the Peanuts characters, and I'm REALLY PEANUTIZED!!!! Schulz is my favorite cartoonist. I have a Snoopy stuffed animal that I sleep with every night. I even take care of my Snoopy. I watch all the Peanuts specials and The Peanuts Movie cuddling with Snoopy. My dad has two Snoopy stuffed animals and a Snoopy blanket. To mark the 70th anniversary of the comic strip, I attended a webinar hosted by Widow Schulz, meaning Schulz's wife, Jean, and Stephan Pastis, an attorney turned cartoonist hosted by Schulz Museum. They both talked about the impact that Peanuts have had over the past 70 years. I even have a lot of Snoopy and other Peanuts pictures because of the movie and I see the movie every time it comes on television. It's time to get Peanutized!!!

So sentimental for the older generation and so funny and appropriate for the younger generation
This movie was our family's "pizza and a movie" choice. Right from the very beginning, the characters came out and just warmed our hearts. I just thoroughly enjoyed how the the graphics were so well done. Snoopy actually LOOKED FUZZY!!! And Charlie Brown's few strands of hair was so nice. The kids loved every part of this show, but Snoopy and Charlie Brown were the stars of the show. Everything that Charlie Brown felt and said rang true in our kids' hearts: feeling insecure, feeling like a failure, feeling alone, feeling never good enough, feeling just plain ordinary. These are things all of us feel some time in our lives. And Snoopy was just so over the top wonderful. We just loved that he, a dog, typed these great stories and chased the Red Baron everywhere.Charlie Brown is able to overcome and be encouraged by such a great crowd of friends, even when they were mean. Every part of our childhood Charlie Brown was stuffed into this movie: the "wa wa" adults, Linus' cleverness, Lucy's obnoxiousness, Schroeder's love for music, and of course, the football. This is such a keeper because it teaches the lesson that it's not always about how you feel about yourself. You do have friends that support you, and the little red haired girl is just a heart stealer. After this movie, we were just thanking Charles Schulz for being so genuine in his characters.
