Instructions aren’t clear
The only thing I can say is that the instructions aren’t very clear. Other than that I liked it.

Fun way to Unwind at the End of Workday
I’m always looking for little joys that help me slow down and disconnect after a busy day—and this set hit the spot perfectly. The colors, textures, and thoughtful details really brought it to life, and I loved watching it come together layer by layer. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, which made the whole process smooth and relaxing—even after a long workday when my brain’s a little fried. What really impressed me was how sturdy it holds together, though I definitely try to treat with care when moving or dusting it. It now lives on my bookshelf, and every time I glance at it, it adds a cozy and cultured touch to the room. Whether you’re into travel, architecture, or just want a mindful hobby that’s screen-free and satisfying, I’d definitely recommend this.

Lovely
My mom loved this! There’s also more assembly required than most I’ve seen, she was thrilled to be able to make the roses herself!

Weak structure
Oh, it was pretty okay. I just couldn't give it five stars bc the structural integrity is meh. There is only one truss. There should be 3. It fell about 3/4 into the build. Pieces broke, it was catastrophic, but I charged on and kept going. It took days! I always wanted to do one of these and now I'm completely done and never want to do one again. This one has fewer simple cut out flowers that are pre punched out. The last flowers in the instructions are perforated and cut ahead of time. My daughter's bookstore book nook looks considerably easier. I hate the gluing on the acetate green house glass bc the glue shows badly. Which brings me to my final point. There should be different glues provided for different applications within this kit. Some glue makes the masonite bow and the greenhouse did not fit properly into the base. I assumed that elmer's was the obvious choice, but in reality, I needed at least 3 types of glue for this project. I showed a video of my ineptitude and am weirdly proud of my pathetic attempt at a book nook. However, you can obviously see the janky-ness of this finished product. Lol . I can only give it 4 stars bc there is not enough structural integrity, the instructions are sort of weak, and the gluing, especially of the of the acetate, seems ugly to me. And still, I am sorta pleased with it.

Significant Quality Control Issues
I rarely leave negative reviews, but the quality of this book nook was extremely disappointing. I contacted the seller believing I may have received a defective or misprinted unit; however, I was informed that although there are duplicate part numbers, no changes were made because the larger modules were considered “distinguishable.” Unfortunately, the product has multiple quality issues. Several pieces are misprinted, many components do not fit together properly, and most parts require gluing due to poor tolerances. The instructions rely solely on images with no written guidance, which would have been sufficient if the parts were correctly sized, accurately labeled, and designed to fit as intended. As an example, the base piece labeled C5 for one side of the book nook is significantly oversized and cannot be made to work. I initially overlooked several issues, but the problems became impossible to ignore as assembly progressed. I have completed numerous book nooks as this is a long-time hobby of mine, and this is the lowest-quality kit I have encountered. While a refund was offered upon return, it was not worthwhile at that point. I attempted to modify and salvage the kit myself, but the defects were too extensive, and I ultimately had to discard the product. I would not recommend purchasing this item unless substantial improvements are made. Additionally, there are noticeable blank areas in the printed designs, further reflecting the lack of quality control. I’ve attached pictures of an example the directions showing one thing but the product showing another. Please note the difference in the archway print in the directions and the actual product as well.

Darling and Fun!
This is my first foray into miniatures, and I have to tell you, I am *hooked*! Building this (and customizing it to my tastes) is so much fun, and a wonderful learning experience! This kit is nicely complex for its price, but not too complex for the reasonably intelligent crafter. Not included is enough sandpaper (there is one tiny square), glue (I recommend a wood glue), and paints (purely optional, but I definitely have painted a few pieces). What *is* included is a great heaping serving of creative inspiration! I have hardly begun to do this and I'm already planning future builds. The Magic Shop is truly a gateway into the magic of miniatures!

Cute but requires patience and good luck
Cute build, but many of the pieces are misnamed or are too large or too small for the designated slot and require gluing or filing to fit. The plastic sides did not fit, either. Fun to make, but kind of disappointing in the end.
