It is not meant to restore the worn out paintwork but can clearly even out paintwork for the little ones.Can sure take up the Dwarves...But loses to the Goliaths..!!Update as on 02/02/17 :xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxGot a quite deep scratch over my bonnet.I am a person who likes to keep his car clean and clear so was very depressed the moment i saw that scratch.Had lost all hopes but then ..Voila !!The formula 1 scratch remover proved to be my "Dark Horse" and as can you see,repeated gentle rub of the paste over the bonnet by mere finger and then rubbing it out with a cloth..It was all GONE..Don't believe me..Believe what you see.Very Impressed & highly recommended.

Worst product ….. no use with this …. Completely fraud ….

Well first things first , you need to understand why many people are complaining about this product not removing scratches effectively, for that let's understand the layers of paint first .The first layer on the metal sheet is the base coat which usually is a thin layer of white coat , then comes the actual paint of the car and then comes the thickest layer of the paint that is the clear coat , it's almost thrice thicker than the previous two and this layer is mainly responsible for the shine of the car and notoriously for most of the scratches too :(So now , what are the different types of scratches ? There are mostly the ones limited only to the clear coat and the ones that goes deeper in the actual paint or base coat.Why does clear coat scratches stand out and easy to remove comparatively ? It is because the scratches causes discontinuity in the surface resulting in inequal reflection of the light and scattering , which gives the appearance of the scratches we see , so the basic principle is very easy to remove them as well , unpolish all the neighboring part for a bit with some paste or paper with grits , that is to say, remove the clear coat for a bit in the surrounding areas as well , sound scary right ? The trick is the polishing pastes like this product have the polymerization components to make that up for you , that is it will polish up the entire clear coat again back to previous, and your scratch is gone because the entire surface is homogeneous again and reflecting the light equally again :)And then comes the next ones , the deeper ones , which has actually taken the paint off . Now how will you recover something that is already gone ? The answer is simple , you cannot :)So this is the basic lesson needs to be learnt that this product here is intended to polish up or cover up very very superficial clear coat scratches only , and not for the deep ones :)As they requires more of a professional approach, feeling the deep scratch with a bit of putty first and then repaint the area with touch up paint and then waxing or polishing .So different scratches , different approaches, and different techniques :)This product here does the job fine as it intends to be :) that is just polish up the superficial scratches without even griting off the neighboring surface :) you cannot expect it remove the deep scratches as well :)Like Sachin Tendulkar cannot win 19 grand slam titles in tennis , right ? No matter how hard he tries :) so expecting him to do that and cursing him after he fails to do that will nlbe unjust :)

The product isn't as bad as the reviews here. In fact I've had a very good experience deoxidising my headlights with Formula 1's Headlight Restorer. Just that our roads are prone to deep scratches, which take the paint off. Then this product can't repair what requires a paint job. So unless you're buying this to clear some bird or sap droppings, don't expect scratches to disappear.

I have been using this product since last 7 years. Its a long lasting product and very useful and easy to use. In mumbaiya traffic you will definitely face situations where autos, bikes and big vehicles can scratch your car. What you need to do is to park your car and apply this product on the scratches and rub it with your finger in a circular manner once it is about to dry up use a cotton cloth to rub in circles on the scratch. Apply these 2 to 3 times and it will remove the scratches from 100% to 70%. Remember, deeper the scratch more rubbing pressure needs to be applied on it with cotton.

Not useful

This product is a gimmick. I fell for the formula one brand. It doesn't even remove the fine scratches the car gets from scratching from plants, under the door handles etc. Don't waste your money on this. I'd recommend their polish for removing small scratches.
