This battery works for the Dell Inspiron 1545. It gives a total of 3:45 min more battery life then stock battery I have. I currently was given a Dell inspiron laptop. I use Linux with it and turned it into a dvd media player. Battery life improved alot with this upgrade. Stock battery was going bad and roughly held a charge for 30min.

Very good price and works perfectly so far

I mostly just wanted enough power to suspend my laptop overnight and to move it to a different outlet without shutting down, and I got that. I was a bit disappointed that it only did 40 minutes of videos on and 80% charge, but for an old potato that never leaves the house it's good enough.
