Milestones Decorative Inspiration Stepping Stone Kit for Flower Beds, Gardens, and Walkways - 901-11279 (268639)

A keepsake momento of my pets footprints while he’s still with us as I’ve done with all my pets. Easy to create, my only dislike was other kits I’ve used had smaller forms. This particular kit makes a nice 12x12x1” step stone, but others I’ve made were smaller, thicker & I believe sturdier. Should have looked for smaller version but this one will be ok too. Also, it is giftable (hand to hand) too but maybe too heavy for economical shipping. Have fun.

My parents asked for these for Christmas, and they turned out great. I was leery to do them thinking they'd be difficult, overly messy, or tricky for my kiddos, but they weren't too bad. My almost 2yo helped with the closest stone in the picture, and my 7yo enjoyed doing her own. The letters provided are very scrolly, but worked fine. The directions say you might want to add a tiny extra water, but I found the regular amount was more than enough. My nephew didn't push his pebbles in far enough and they fell out, so make sure you push each item in until it's level with the surface. You just need a bucket to mix the concrete in, and maybe a tarp to work on.Fun item that I might buy more of.

OCTOBER 2022 UPDATE: I just added another star to this review because I am very pleased with the longevity of this stepping stone: This fun step stone has not broken, not even chipped, in all this time being used as a step stone (not super high traffic area though, and we don't get snow here, but 4 years surviving outside without damage is worth mentioning) . Could never make the stone they advertise, or even a pretty stepping stone, with the little bit of green glass they provided in the kit. Very chintzy.How I solved problem: I bought other kits from this company and they have nil quality control. I buy these kits for the mold and pre-measured cement. In order to use the kits I purchased more glass separately. In the picture I'm including of the stone I created, keep in mind that the ONLY GLASS THAT CAME WITH THE KIT IS LIGHT GREEN. EVERY OTHER COLOR OF GLASS YOU SEE IN MY STONE IS ADDITIONAL GLASS THAT I BOUGHT SEPARATELY. I gave two stars only because I liked the lettering stamps that came with kit It annoys me that this company continually shows colorful stepping stones made with its various kits, but the actual kit contains no colorful glass.TIP: spray mold with Pam cooking spray before you fill with cement, so you will be able to reuse mold (and stone will slip out easily when dry).

I love this square shape but I really ordered it because I loved the colors of the glass pieces pictured. Mine came with the primary colors so that was a big disappointment. I would’ve ordered a cheaper one that shipped faster had I known that. Also, the mix was a bit weird compared to what I’ve used before. A weird sheen was left on the surface in some parts. I’m happy enough with it, though I had to order different colored glass pieces so I spent way more than I planned. I won’t be ordering it again though. If they only send primary colors the item picture needs to be changed to reflect that.

Bought this to give as a grandmother gift. The instructions seemed clear, but I would add that it's better to give the concrete some time to set up if you are planning to use the letters (provided). I had to go back over them again and again; (one) bc it was too cold for the concrete to set in the area I was doing the project, so the mix was releasing a lot of water the words were going mushy, two, once you break apart the letters, it is difficult to find the one you need in a hurry. The Celtic-inspired lettering is stylistic and tough to differentiate the letters once they are out of order. I recommend taking a permanent marker and writing the letters/numbers on before breaking them apart. Also, the mosaic pieces provided vary between very large and teeny, so I would also recommend buying a tool for breaking them into smaller pieces. The stone turned out nice and was large enough to put three child handprints, some mosaic pieces, and a sentence.

Bought as a housewarming gift for my sister’s family. Took it with me to let my niece make while I was visiting. The process was super simple. If you follow the directions included, it was very straight forward. We kept it in the box it came in with some paper underneath... no mess! You do have to let it set up different lengths for the following stages: glass tiles and gems, handprints, letter stamping. As long as you’re patient, it turns out great. Had lots of leftover glass pieces. Not a big fan of the font on the letters, but it gets the point across.You can see the difference in the wet vs dry versions in my pics. Make sure to buy some exterior varnish to coat it if you plan to keep outside. Would buy again!!

My 5yr old granddaughter and I like to take walks and collect seashells on the beaches in Rhode Island and i wanted a unique way to display them. I found this stone kit and thought I would give it a try! I did a trial on the table first and copied it over. It was very easy to use and came with plenty of tiles and gems so I have enough to make a couple more just would need more cement. I choose not to use the stamps because I wanted to use as many seashells as I could...i highly recommend this product it helped me create something extra special for my granddaughter so she will always treasure the memories we made this summer ❤ thank you for a great product!

Made this for a gift to a friend that loves gardening. She loved it and it’s more special since I took the time to make it. The kit was great - everything you need!

Pretty easy to use and make. Product is heavy so help would be needed for children making this. Lots of pretty stones and glass pieces....but not a lot of variation in the glass pieces....only yellow, green, orange, and blue.....but you could get different colours of mosaic pieces at a craft store.

This was awesome , made it for a gift and it turned out beautifully! Would totally buy it again

was a great hit at the birthday party. will certainly do more of these stones for family members and/or house warming gifts
