I have been using so many things to make markings. Pens, pencils, grass markers etc. The advance of this pen is, I can make really precise marks. All the way up to the 10th of a millimetre. This way the error margin is reduced. especially when cutting metal!As for safety, Just leave it on the table or workbench after use. Don't try to clip it into your pocket like a pen....If by any chance you were to tip over and fall, the pen might do you more damage than the fall. Think of it as a knife...and you will subconsciously handle it properly. Rest...Its strong and sturdy... and my measurements are accurate....

I didn't expect it to be helpful for anyone. But it's not really that hard to use it. Also, if you are new with something like a engraving. You will get used to it. My first couple of trys didn't work.. The posted is 3rd try, It is pretty good for a beginner.
