3 Piece Bar Cocktail Shaker Kit

This is my first shaker but man, it's awesome. The seal is great, the glass is strong, and it's not too tough to get apart if you do it right. The strainer works pretty well too for remaining ice and fruit in the tin.For people having trouble i'll provide some tips to use this correctly and getting it apart. I put it together too tightly the first time I used it and it was a beast to get apart.Mix up your drink in the glass and add the ice. Place the tin on top and make sure its close but not completely against one side of the glass. (there will be a < 1/4 inch gap between the glass and tin on one side and about 3/4 on the opposite) Give the tin a little tap on top to seat it. Flip the contents into the tin (the ice will cool and contract the tin onto the glass and the weight of the glass will help maintain the seal with the tin) Holding both parts shake with a motion as long as the shaker itself. To break this seal leave the tin on the bottom, give the glass a sharp tap near the top toward the side with the big gap, rest the small gap against a counter top or bar and your body against the tin and press the glass and sorta roll the tin. It will pop right open with not too much force so make sure you have hold of the tin (and your drink). Strain from the tin if the recipe calls for it.

To no fault of the seller, my shaker arrived broken. I messaged them through Amazon and they sent me a replacement ASAP.The set itself is high quality: the seal between the glass and metal pieces is strong, the measurements on the glass are accurate, and the strainer fits well!

I bought this as a fathers day gift. It arrived a day later then I had expected having paid for express shipping. However it was packaged well to prevent damage. And it was surprisingly good quality for being a cheaper shaker. I like the professional look of a Boston style shaker and loved that the glass has some drink recipe's right on it, because it makes it easy to whip up drinks for company really quick even for someone who doesn't have much bartending experience! I was surprised by the weight of the set. The glass is nice and think, and the recipe's seem to be printed on it well enough to last a good while. The steel shaker also seems to be of good quality, you cant bend easily. And the 4 prong strainer is decent as well, the spring is nice and tight and secure and its stainless steel as well making it nice and strong. It definitely makes for a good starter set for a home bar!

I've never owned one of these before, but it is high quality. Glass is thick and smooth with handy measurement markers. There are drink recipes also on the glass, but I have not used any of these. High quality stainless steel cup, does not leak if used correctly. Strainer is also stainless, high quality and works well.

I'm currently in bartending school and this set was perfect! It's stainless steel works great, not cheap quality, I love it and it's going to be so helpful when I work private events and need my own equipment. I'll also be able to use it at home making drinks and having friends over. The only downfall is that the mixing glass is not tempered glass so it isn't the "strongest" or best glass for mixing, but that's really not a problem. And it shipped extremely fast! Very happy.

Great five for the money

I am ashamed to admit that I was a bartender years ago. I always used a Boston shaker then, but kept buying other shakers for home. This works like a charm. No leaking and no sticking--just give it a tap and the glass comes loose. I've had it for all of a few days, so I can't speak to its durability, but this is a great set. I like the marks on the glass too.
