Q: Does it give as good a calf stretch compared to a foot rocker?

As I understand it, the foot rocker is used for calf stretches. The Ideal Stretch is used to not only stretch the calves, but also the hamstrings and IT bands. It was recommended to me by my back and spine doctor, and I find that it gives a first-rate stretch to all of the above muscles groups.

Q: Does anyone know the difference between using this device vs a cloth yoga strap for the same stretching exercises? Thank you

I truly do sympathize, but it is concerning that this pulling gives you that much trouble. It should not be that difficult to do, unless your legs are very heavy, or you have profound neurological weakness of arms and hands. You would greatly benefit by using this device to work not just on leg stretches but also to build upper body stamina and strength! Take it slowly, do five or ten reps of the pulling for 20 seconds or as long as you can hold on. Don't give up, do it every day and you will gradually see increased upper body strength. Totally worth it
