I really really like this wax melter. It was easy to set up. The instructions that come with it are very thorough and give you all the information that you need to use it properly. I like that you can adjust the heat levels for different things that you are making. I used it for making beard balms and it worked perfectly! I was really surprised at how easy it was to clean up afterwards as well and how well made it is. It's a good sturdy metal and will definitely hold up for years to come. If you like making candles, soaps, or even beard balms like me then this is the wax warmer that you want to have!

I recently got into candle making and decided to try this wax melter. Overall, it’s been a good investment, but there are a few quirks you should know about. First off, it holds a large amount of wax, which is fantastic for making multiple candles in one go. The accessories are a nice touch too, including a metal cup for pouring, wicks, wick stickers, and a spoon. My main issue came when I heated beeswax to 150 degrees. The wax melted fine, but the spout got clogged with hard wax. It seems the heat distribution is uneven, with the spout not getting as hot as the rest of the melter. This made the spout unusable at that temperature. When I tried setting the temp to 160 degrees, the wax ended up getting to 212 degrees! That's a bit problematic if you’re trying to avoid burning the wax and want to maintain a specific temperature. As a newbie to candle making, I’m chalking this up to a mix of a learning curve and the melter’s temperature accuracy issues. I’m docking one star for the clogging and overheating problems. Also, I wish the spout drained from the bottom rather than the side, as you have to tilt the furnace to get the last bits out, which isn’t ideal. Despite these issues, it’s a solid starter kit that’s helped me dive into candle making. Just keep an eye on the temperature and you’ll be good to go.
