Reliable and Holds a Strong Charge
This battery works perfectly for my small electronic project. It charges quickly and holds power well during use. The size and connector fit exactly as described, which made installation simple. It has been very consistent so far with no overheating or performance issues. The build quality looks solid for a small rechargeable battery.

Perfect for PS3 controller
Fits perfectly in my old ps3 controllers and has double the battery life capacity. Highly recommend getting HUVUL's battery riser from thingiverse so it doesn't sit right on top of the dualshock 3 board.

Non standard battery?
Item: YDL 3.7V 500mAh 502248 Lipo Battery w/ PH2.0mm JST Connector Seller: Wing Deli TL;DR: Double check the measurements of your battery before getting this unit - perhaps the 502248 size batteries are not a real industry standard? So the battery in my sunbeam nightlight gave out and instead of buying a replacement for $25, I decided to replace just the battery. Good for the environment and for the wallet yah? Opened it up and found the battery and figured that like AA batteries, the 502248 designation was an industry standard, so I searched for the cheapest one and took a gamble (I mean the name of the seller implies they are a deli right? Maybe it's just a phonetic spelling and not really an actual deli that happens to sell batteries next to ham, baloney, and cheeses). Unfortunately, as you can see from my pic, the newer battery is a bit longer than the one I am looking to replace. Searching elsewhere (eg, ali you know what website), I not only found them cheaper but also of a slightly different size. So while the seller at least cautions the buyer regarding the connector polarity, they should have also specified the exact size of the battery (not just the dimensions of the connector and package). Lucky for me, I was still able to fit it in my nightlight and it's once again working. Don't have an easy way to measure the capacity of the battery so am hoping it really is 500mAh (i mean it's larger than the original so I'm hoping that it is, even if it's made of inferior materials). FYI, the battery I was replacing is about 5x22x43mm. The one from Wing Deli is about 5x22x60mm.

Dog collar fix
Used this to replace the battery in a SportDog SDF-100A dog collar. The plug ends did not match, so I had to splice in the old plug on the new battery. Charged right up.

Wasn’t a true replacement for battery 053048
I’m sure the battery itself is fine but it was supposed replace an RC battery but plug wasn’t correct.

Also here for PlayStation Vita
Fits nicely in the PS Vita 1000. Almost double the battery life. (2200mAh upgraded to this 4000mAh). I've done this mod 6 times and I haven't killed a battery yet... be very careful and don't attempt this without adult supervision and safety precautions. Have a metal bucket handy with some pebbles in the bottom to toss an over heating battery into, have safety glasses, etc. If you are going to destroy your official vita battery, charge it or drain it to 50-60% It's safer and more recyclable that way. I'm keeping mine to possibly use on some unknown project that might need an upgrade to 2200mAh. You need special flux to solder the aluminum positive and negative leads though. Warning It's very dangerous - possibly deadly - to puncture or over heat these batteries. The insides cannot touch oxygen or a very hot chemical reaction happens that is more violent the more fully charged so do not cut into the silver wrapper or heat the glue that keeps the battery sealed. What you need from the previous battery is the white wire - thermistor around 10k ohm connected to negative. You can achieve this by using the board from the previous battery - cut the aluminum tabs connecting the original battery to it's board - be careful very careful never to touch positive to negative (red to black) ever or touch anything metal to both of them at the same time (like scissors). desolder the red wire from the 3 on the Sony board and connect that to the red wire coming out of the yellow tape. Connect the black wire from the new battery directly to the other black wire on the Sony board next to the white wire - both already connected to the board. You should have a red wire going directly to the vita attachment and a black wire going from the battery to the sony board and then a black and white wire continue to the vita attachment with the red wire. You can skip the Sony board and add either your own 10k thermistor or a 10k resistor from the white wire to the black wire... I suggest this option and leave the Sony board on it's battery. You will still need the 3 wire connector from the battery. Using a 10k resistor instead of a thermistor means don't try to charge it when it's too hot or too cold or you could damage your battery or start a fire. I don't suggest letting the Sony battery board charge this 4k battery, it wasn't meant for it. The battery comes with a charge board and the Vita itself won't let you over discharge or over charge a 3.7v battery. The third wire tells the vita that it's at a safe temperature to charge and the Vita itself handles over and under charge protection.

Not recommended for a drone
I purchased this as the battery size would have been a good replacement for my Propel Flip 2.0 Drone. I had done a lot of research to match up the battery dimensions and this was even suppose to have the same voltage but higher mAh rating. (stock drone battery was only 750mah) I thought this would give me extended run time. Battery packaging was nice and it fit inside the drone battery case, but I did notice the wire gauge was extremely thin compared to my previous drone battery. Previous battery probably had 16 gauge wires.. these I would guess are closer to 22 gauge. In the end it was an unsuccessful experiment. Even though same voltage requirement and increased capacity the battery would only operate the drone for a few seconds and turn back off, not even able to lift off the ground.
