Urban Platter Sichuan Pepper Corns, 100g

For all my Konkani food lovers... This is THEPPAL.I used it for both mid-eastern grills as well as for traditional Konkani dish (Bendi).For those who have not used it before... this is not spicy like regular pepper; it has a slight lemony flavour to it, and it should not be used in large quantities. A few corns, mixed with other spices are more than enough to deliver the flavour.It works great. Loved it.

Need to add more than what is usually used for the right flavour

Had bought this thing for preparing Chinese cuisine dishes. I had bought and used Sichuan pepper corn few times earlier, so I know exactly how these should taste like. However, this particular brand name variety pepper corns tasted nothing like what original variety. These one seemed too dry and completely lack the characteristic smell and strong taste (a sharp almost tongue numbing taste) which Sichuan peppercorn are known and used for. So I strongly suggest to stay away these particular brand Sichuan pepper corn, if you are looking for original tasting peppercorn. Getting sold with a organic tag, this is Rs. 250 completely wasted down the drain. Very disappointed with the product.

Seeds: these come with the seeds so you have to deseed the peppercorns you're using by hand which is very time consuming and annoyingAroma: pretty good, but not as pungent as it should beSpice level: milder than usual Sichuan peppercornsIn conclusion, not the best quality but I'd still rebuy it because I don't really have another convenient option
