Very heavy duty materials, good locking mechanism. Very unhappy with the pencil holder, its oval shaped for possibly a carpenters pencil. When a standard round pencil is locked into place the scribe point is out of plane with the pencil. This may be preferred in other lines of work but not for carpentry.
