Malibu 8301-9604-01 20 Watt Cast Metal Flood Light Fixture

Chose this product as it was easy to install and was attractive in style. It is also a cast metal which should give years of use. I have had lights installed for 3 weeks and my neighbors like the look and color. I replaced the halogen lights with the LE 3.5W MR11 GU4.0 LED Bulbs, which have worked great so far and are much brighter than the haolgen bulbs and should last a long time. You do have to remove the reflective guard inside to fit the bulb but it was easy for the DIY'er.

OK so I don't use the halogen bulbs that are usually included in these fixtures, I install bi-pin LEDs instead. But these fixtures are very sturdy and reliable. I also dont recommend using the silly connectors that sort of clamp on the wire and pierce the wire insulation - those will last a month, maybe, before flickering and going out. I clip those off and use weatherproof wire nuts and electrical tape. That will last for years.

These are great, sturdy fixtures. I wanted to retrofit with LED bulbs but had to experiment a little to get it to work. I tried several combinations but was never really happy with the beam pattern using the stock reflector.Eventually I settled on FEIT MR16 non-dimmable lights from Lowes in the landscape light section. They're about $8 (March 2016) but work fantastic. The non-dimmable part is important - since the length of wire causes a voltage drop, dimmable LED or regular incandescent lights will be dimmer at the end of a run vs. non-dimmable LED. The internal circuitry keeps them the same brightness whether they see 8v or 12v.In order to modify the light, I took the reflector out, and pushed the bulb socket back to the rear of the housing to make room for the MR16 bulbs. It takes a little bit of fiddling to get it to go in, but it's not hard. (See the pictures for details) I'm very happy with the result.In the photo of the house below, all the illumination (except path lights) is from these fixtures and the Lowes FEIT bulbs. I attached a few pictures of the assembly process, but they seem to be showing up out of sequence. I'm sure you can figure it out.

Finally found a great replacement for a damaged reflector. WOW! It was very hard to find, everyone has gone to solar lights with NO replaceable bulbs and batteries which must be replaced yearly. This one is the original Malibu from a dozen years ago. Came with a two pin bulb, which I replaced with a two pin LED. Added to the original set of spot lights. Great buy!!!!

These are good lights for the price. The one drawback and its major is that Malabu as long as they have been around and as big as they are in the landscape lighting business these wire connectors are as bad as it gets and are very hard to get to work as intended. I should give it two stars for this problem that they coul easily fix. The light is great and the shipping under Prime is great. Cut the connectors off and hard wire stupid to have to do but the only real good solution.

They are easy to set up and work just fine. Over the years the lights that I bought at Home Depot have broken down and I only have three spot lights left with wiring that runs through my whole garden. I'm adding these to augment the few that are left. I've put in two of the three so far and they work just fine. I'm hoping they last long and withstand the elements better than most of the older ones.Update: One light failed in about 3 months, a second failed in about 6 months. One still works. Anyone know what the warranty is on these and how to use it?Update 2: I tried to change a bulb. Can't be done, these lamps are one-and-done. Trash.Update 3: Well, there is no warranty because the seller, Malibu, is no longer in business, But the overstock is still being sold on Amazon - without a warranty of course (whether or not there was one originally).

Very durable light with a solid locking front glass. Get rid if the halogen bulb and get a MR11 replacement(picture). I removed the reflector and re screwed the socket back in. The LED replacement fits without any other modification and the 2.4w LED replacements are 3000k and so they provide a incandescent look (warm) with a very wide even light. The price of exterior lighting can be so expensive but i have around $20 bucks in each of these with the LED bulbs and am looking forward to NOT having to replace halogens and redo connections because of the wattage the halogens pull.

以前使っていたガーデン用スポットライトが15年経過しカバーが紫外線でバキバキに劣化した為、バルブが取替可能な本商品を購入。付属のバルブから商品電力の少ないLEDバルブに変更ました。バルブはバイピンタイプのバルブですが、あまり大きなバルブは入りません。近所のホームセンターでも、この手の商品は置いてなく、他ネットショップでは7000円以上してる本商品が半額近い金額で購入できて満足です。商品は、全て金属（鋳物）製で丈夫そうで耐久性ありそうです。前スポットライトはレンズカバーがプラスチックでしたが、本商品はガラスのため長く使えそうです。あと、電源ケーブルとトランスは付属しておらず、本体と電源ケーブルを繋ぐリード線は30cm程しかありません。電源ケーブルを利用したいところまで施工しその近くに本商品を設置して使うことになります。接続はワンタッチで電源ケーブルに挟み込むのみでケーブルに針電極が刺さり接続出来る仕様です。電源ケーブルを施工済みなら、数分で設置出来ます。
