Great pace control training aid
This is perfect for putters who don't look at the hole to get the ball to the hole. I play by pacing out the putt first. From there, I decide on the modifiers based on up or down slope. So if I have a 20 foot putt, I hit to 20 feet. This device keeps my distance under control. I don't look at the hole while putting. I just imagine the distance I need to hit the ball to and I get the ball there. And this ensures I am accurate up to 45 feet. This is not for people who need to see a hole to make a putt.I don't play any of the games. I just tell myself to make a 12 foot putt or an 18 foot putt and I do it. It's compact and easy to take with you. You can turn it on and leave it plugged in, it will automatically shut off if you don't play with it after a while. And when you putt and hit it left or right of center, it will display that. I would say it's very accurate in distance. I keep it on average (there is slow, average and fast green settings).

Fun device, but don't expect to stop 3 putting.
I struggle with 3 putts and enjoy putting at home, so I bought the puttist. It works as advertised, by measuring the length of putts with three different green speeds. There are a few things that make it less useful than I thought. #1- It's obvious, but in real life, greens are usually up or down hill, so you are always practicing flat which doesn't directly translate when you get to the course and have a 10 foot uphill putt. #2 I find that this works best if you have a long room or hallway and setup holes that are actually 5,10,20,30 feet away so you can visualize and then putt. If you put this device facing a wall or even 10 feet from a wall in a normal room, it is basically like putting blind because you can't see all the way to the target 35 feet away. Still helpful I guess, but not as helpful as if you could visualize the distance and practice the muscle memory. Lastly, some of the games are fun, but a little annoying that you only score when you hit it within 2 feet past the hole, but not 1 inch short. On putts greater than 25 feet, even pga tour pros only make 7%, so most people (certainly me) would be thrilled to hit it 1 foot short, but it counts as a miss. Overall, It's fun, it works as advertised, and I think will slightly improve distance control, but I don' think it's the answer to eliminating three putts.

Three Putt Killer, Turns Out Yes.
This really is a remarkable device. I don't know if I'm a "feel" player or not in my full swing, but I know in my putting I am. Isn't everyone? Well, using this has forced me to learn how much of a stroke is necessary to send the ball a set number of feet. For example, I know that 15 feet is the inside of my right foot, 20 feet is the middle of my right foot, and 25 feet is the outside of my right foot. Fast greens add 5 feet, a steep downhill putt adds another 5 feet. This will seriously cut your 3 putts down to nothing. It's not cheap but it's a great investment if your winter plan is to become a better putter.

I've only had this a few days but already know that I will be using this a lot this winter. Need to eliminate leaving too much green after short putts.

It WORKS...
The Puttist is everything it says... it really helps to train your "muscle memory" as you putt. If you have a 15 foot putt, then the machine will train you to putt 15 feet, no more long second putts. You pick the distance you want and practice! The key in golf is to two putt or less every hole, and this device helps you get close on the first putt, making the second a gimmie. Thanks Puttist!

From zero to hero on the green.
I live in Canada so we can only golf a few months of the year. I bought this in the winter so I could work on my putting indoors. I spent several months using it, playing the games and doing various distance exercises. I used the TTT game the most; you try to hit a putt 10ft, then 20ft and then 30ft. I am really happy with the outcome, I came in to the season having a reference distances to work with 10,20,30ft) and a lot more confidence in my putting. There is a noticeable difference in my putts per game, I went from an average of 36 last season to an average of 32 in my last 5 rounds. I find that I leave my first putts a lot closer to the hole.I bought this with the Dave Pelz putting tutor. If you are serious about your putting, get them both and putt all winter. I think you will be happy with the outcome too.
