When my company's Siemens adapter failed, we weren't able to purchase a replacement from Siemens due to the high cost and budget constraints. I purchased this adapter personally to be used temporarily until the other purchase is approved. This adapter actually works quite well, though slower than the Siemens adapter. I noticed during usage that when connected to profibus that my connection would drop every couple of minutes and then would reconnect with no issue. The connection to an MPI port though is very stable. The serial cable that comes with this unit is about a foot long, much shorter than the Siemens cable. The USB cables are about the same length. I have not used the included cables and am using the cables from the broken adapter. Overall I am very satisfied with this adapter.

This unit does not communicate with my Siemens S7 S300 controller. I am sending it back for refund.

Tried it with Microwin v4,I tried all configurations in pg/pc interface but none worked.I kept getting the error access point not found.Do not buy it
