Read this before you buy
I bought these for a long distance hike, at first try they were fine, BUT after 13 miles the rand started to come away, I have stuck it down but now the other boot has started to go after just another 9 miles, I will leave these boots at home untill I return, then give them another try

Poor quality
Should have taken notice of the other reviews - started leaking after two months’ use.

Not for wide feet
These boots are way too narrow for normal styleboots, for supposedly minimalist boots they are ridiculous. Not convinced by the robustness either.

Lovely concept but poor quality.
I'm a minimalist convert, usually found in VFFs or Vivobarefoot. Since neither of them could offer a suitable walking boot I hoped these would answer my prayers. (The afore mentioned brands have comfy off-road styles but result in wet feet at the merest sight of water underfoot)First impressions: very light, very water "resistant"... Really tested this and my feet were comfy in torrential rain and boggy mud. Very comfy... Slightly more rigid than the aforementioned brands but then these were for more serious hillwalking and really suited Peakland/ Welsh hills. I absolutely loved using these boots. So why am I not wearing them still?Because they fell apart after 4 days use....So sad. I wanted to love these, and I did/ do... But the toe rands on both boots is separating from the soles and that black rubberized lace yolk is splitting in several places. This after just 4 days of gentle family walks.... by no means a tough test. (BTW the family; 40, 9 and 7 years respectively; wore low/ mid fabric walking shoes by Merrel and Karrimor... Not even the slightest signs of wear on their footwear).Given that the first pair of these boots I received were sent back due to a faulty lace hook I sadly will give up on Freet until they can sort their manufacturing out.
