BUFFALO TeraStation Essentials 2025 4-Bay Value Desktop NAS 16TB (4x4TB) with Hard Drives Included

Fairly large footprint but not a show-stopper. Setup was quick and easy with RAID 5 (pre-configured). Easy acccess setup for multiple networked (win 11 pro) PC's and devices. Network connection speed is very fast - especially compared to the Buffalo LSA220 which I have been using for literally 5 years. The management software can share the same dashboard of the 220 but admin GUI for the Terrastation is different and somewhat more responsive.

Was running low on space and was going to order another usb portable drive when i spotted this. It is a great deal! Now I have plenty of space and can share files between all my devices.

The unit has been operating continuously for many months without a hitch. It sets up quickly and without difficulties. It attaches to an ethernet network readily and stores and retrieves data quickly with has minimal latency. It performs reliably and is fast enough to seem like an internal hard drive on my computer. Overall, I have been very pleased with the unit and would gladly purchase another should the storage need arise.

I love my NAS. However, I do want to mention that it's not the best that's out there. The setup was pretty straightforward and maintaining it is pretty easy. I do like that they include software that would backup your pc.

Rock solid and no issues after 6 months! Setup was easy...I put alot of data on it and it took a little time to get it there. Once the initial load was done, smooth sailing. I've done one firmware update, no issues.

I have had this unit now for 2 months and it is the most unreliable network device I have ever had the unlucky experience to own. Since I have had it, it has dropped off my network about once a week. I have it hard cabled to my router. I have many other devices on my network both wireless and wired and none have been as unreliable as this. It was so bad at some point that even a power restart didn't work. With support's advice, I reset it. That meant losing all my data and all the configurations and had to completely start over like it was new. Since I have done that, it has become unresponsive every few days where I had to power it off and back on to get it back on the network. This happens so frequently that it interrupts backups and any kind of work I am doing that requires diskspace (like converting my DVD's to streaming media for my plex server). A word of advice, avoid this product like the plague otherwise you will have purchased something that causes a ton of frustration where you will ultimately lose all your data at some point to troubleshoot it.

Very easy set up. Registration took some time but formatting was minimal.
