Excellent product!

I started using the Designs For Health bovine-sourced whole body collagen 2 years ago, after 1st Dexa scan result was Osteoporosis. I increased exercise, improved the diet and take D3 and K2 daily. Had 2 year follow-up Dexa recently. No significant change in bone density, but that is a win for me over getting worse, bc I refused to go on Osteoporosis drugs that could cause jaw problems or fractures down the line. I also have allergies to several medications, and if I were to go on a drug and have to stop it, that would be worse for the bones. Yes, this collagen is expensive, but with it, & proper diet & exercise, I'm feeling strong, without drugs. Trail walking, several fast-walking 5ks a year energize me. My friend, whom I hadn't seen in several years, just the other day commented on how smooth my face looked (no makeup either). My hair & nails are healthier, imho. The collagen is odorless, tasteless & I stir half to 3/4 scoop into 1 cup (8 oz.) of unsweetened coconut yogurt, along with 1 full scoop of vanilla Orgain Simple protein powder and some pre-ground flaxseed, for the Omega 3s. I add in a handful of pepitas (store brand pumpkin seeds), a handful of nuts sometimes, then stir in a little cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin spice, ginger, and a few freshly-thawed blueberries and or strawberries (quickly thawed in microwave). 'Sounds like a lot of prep, but it's really quick and easy! Then I walk or do yardwork, whatever I want to do, for my body to get the most out of the collagen and protein powders. Yes, I definitely recommend this product, although it is very expensive for me to buy. Osteoporosis drugs are not for me. This collagen was recommended (over the popular one I see at our wholesale club) by my endocrinologist for bone density strength. It's pricey but I was able to get it at a lower price on Prime days. I'm using a half dose because I'm on the smaller size and hope I'm getting adequate benefit from it. I like that it's tasteless and dissolves easily.

I have used a lot of different collagens over the years and I saw someone on IG talk about this collagen and how great it was especially for your hair. I ordered a canister and I wasn't even all the way through it when I went to my stylist for a trim and she asked what in the world has happened to my hair! It had grown so much in the 7 weeks since I had seen her and she was amazed at the growth and thickness. I wasn't sure I had noticed that much of a difference until I went to get my hair trimmed. I will keep using it even though I do think it is a bit pricey. I did get the subscription to save a little money.

Update: renewed subscription when my replacement for this product had a warning about potential lead inclusion(yikes,CA required? I couldn’t possibly consume something with a lead warning on packaging!). DEXA scan in Feb: will give rave reviews if it shows improvement Update: new shipment: measured the contents of container: 54 tablespoons (13 oz serving = 2tbs): even going light on my measurements the package contains less than advertised (it will last me 27 d) therefore, I’m canceling my subscription, will choose a different brand: may seem petty, but receiving less product than advertised 2x makes me question the integrity of the manufacturer. If you purchase this product I’d suggest not using the scoop that comes in the container, it’s too big- use 2 tbs. You’ll still be shy of the 30 servings advertised, but only 3 d instead of a week shy of supplement which will happen if you use the scoop provided. Previous review: This product was recommended to me by a Bone Health Specialist who takes it herself to address osteoporosis. Although the evidence is thin; there is a small study that suggests this product (Fortibone) can help increase bone density over time. This is an expensive product, to save $ I have a monthly subscription. First shipment arrived Feb 13, started same day: now Mar 2 and the container contains only 4 more scoops. I’ve been stiffed 7 scoops. Btw: I used the scoop that was packaged in the product and actually used a little less than a full scoop each time because of the reviews of other folks here who also had less product than advertised. I’ve been pretty happy with the product in comparison to other collagen supplements I’ve tried. This product seems to be digestible: other collagen supplements caused profound gastric distress as evidenced by high powered flatulence that curtailed all public activities for several hours after consuming. I drink a scoop of this product in lukewarm water, blends well- the taste is benign, but I wouldn’t want it polluting my morning coffee. In short, idk how well this product works, my next DEXA scan is in 15 mo, I’d planned to stay on this for that amount of time and then provide a review: which, if my results were similar to the study participants’, would have been stellar. I’m planning to suffer thru the missing scoops until my next shipment arrives (Mar 13)by using up the remaining collagen supplement I have by other manufacturers ☹️💨. Hopefully my next tin will last the full 30 days (?); if not, will probably find a new source of collagen supplement.

Really good quality highly recommend

I love this collagen because makes my joints happy , especially my knees , they was the biggest complainers and now it's time for me to fly like a teenager do !! I walk a lot because I like it so I had to search for something to relief my knees and making me feel good even after long walks . Before I was using another collagen with not so good results but once I came across this one , there's no coming back !!
