Dear Mr. Thurston, First of all I appreciate your faithful study of the word of God and years of serving the Lord. It is obvious you have a love for the saints and Gods word. In posting a reply to comments it is a challenge to communicate without misinterpretation of intent and attitude. So I humbly ask that you read my reply in the tone of a loving, caring brother in the Lord. As if we were sharing coffee as old friends. Obviously, I have a different viewpoint to submit and at the end of this reply i have a offer to make you.To begin I have attended two weeklong conferences at Be in Health ministries. I went with skepticism, doubt and fear that this ministry would be like the many I have seen that just are trying to make a dollar on spiritually and mentally weak people.I was healed physically of Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia and High Blood Pressure. More importantly I was released from many spiritual bondages and left there with a deep understanding of Gods love for me and my position in Christ regardless of whether I was physically healed.I also spoke to non staff attendees who shared how they had been healed of Breast Cancer, ovarian cancer and other major illnesses. To be direct I felt my pound of suffering was minimal next the challenges of those with more serious conditions. My faith was strengthened as they shared Gods mercy on their lives.Also, I was not healed of other ailments. Of course I want to be healed of these like the other illnesses but it has been clearly impressed on me that these conditions must be walked out in faith. For the record, I am not a part of the ministry and I am not friends with any staff person. I am your everyday 43 year old male with a wife and four kids. I have been a Christian since I was 16 yrs old.What I witnessed at Be In Health was not a place of accusation of sin. They never once expressed that one "must" have sin if you have a disease. They did express you "may" have sin or a stronghold from trauma or generational issues. They did not say every sickness should end in healing or your a bad person. There was no condemnation or statements that you must not truly be Godly if you got sick. No slimy snake charmers trying to make a buck from healing. There was absolutely no television faith healer experiences. No shaking on the floor, no slaps to the forehead, no pleas for money, no $ 3000 suits. No laughing fits. It was a intensive 50 hour study of the scriptures and prayer. I found the staff and teachers were humble, caring, loving and normal everyday Christians who had a deep love of the scriptures and desire to see God move powerfully in the attendees relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.So, with that said I want to make you a offer. *****A More Excellent Way has affected my life profoundly. Most of all, it has made the Bible come alive for me again, and helped me to really believe God for my healing. It is a very encouraging book. The author maintains that 80% of all illnesses have spiritual roots; if you restrict this to chronic illnesses, which allopathic medicine has little successs with, I would agree with him.The book seems like it is a long transcription of a seminar that the author, a pastor, gives, and although it seems to ramble at times, I found everything in it useful and practical. I was greatly inspired by his digressions. He makes it clear that his very successful ministry (especially to people with MCS/EI) is in its embryonic stage, and that there is much more to learn in this area. He is very honest and straightforward.The whole book is very Bible-based. It answers the question, "What if everything in the Bible WERE really true and for today, especially about healing?"...I know that might sound like it's a "name it and claim it" book (but it's not) or like it's a book that puts people down who get prayer but don't get instantly healed (but it's not). Instead it's a book that deals with WHY people might not be healed and practically WHAT they can do from a spiritual perspective. I do not feel condemned or put down because I have not yet been fully healed; instead I feel excited about the spiritual healing the Lord is doing and will continue to do...and so at peace about the physical manifestations and the symptoms and the pain I currently have. I look so forward to continuing to follow the healing steps of the "walk out" and to the work that the Lord is doing in my life because of this book.The end of the book is filled with pages of testimonies (including very detailed MCS/EI testimonies) that are incredibly uplifting, even for people without this particular illness.If you are ill, discouraged because you've received prayer but are not yet healed, need encouragement or uplifting, I strongly recommend this book. It will bless you and is well worth the money. I would suggest buying it new or in "like new" condition if you could afford it at all because it is a book you will want to refer to often and keep forever.*****

This book came recommended to me by a friend and I couldn't put it down once I began reading. While I do not espouse the entirety of the religious doctrine of the author, his experience and expertise in the field of healing speak for themselves. In my quest for the answer to why people do not get healed from chronic disease, I was able to easily enough overlook the differences in doctrine to confirm that there are basic underlying issues that cause internal distress to the individual and manifest physically. Dealing with those underlying issues in a practical and effective manner is the key that Mr. Wright addresses in this book. He writes in a very forthright and engaging manner, recounting his personal experiences with chronic disease of all sorts and easily inspires hope and courage for humanity to tackle that which the medical establishment throws their hands up over or to which they resort to prescribing dangerous drugs in an effort to mask.I read this book in conjunction with "Who Switched Off My Brain", by Dr. Caroline Leaf, and the two books together (with a fair dose of self searching and the loving and caring help from my husband and my above-referenced friend) helped to unlock the secrets for which I have been searching.I think that even the healthiest of individuals could benefit from reading this book along with "Who Switched Off My Brain".

I'm only halfway through the book at this stage, but I'm loving it! Excellent teaching in a simplistic style of writing. Would highly recommend
