Ham Radio antenna that needs no trimming and covers 40 Meters, 20 Meters, 10 Meters, and 6 Meters with SWR Less Than 3 to 1. The antenna is rated to handle 125 Watts continuous and 1,500 watts PEP. The Antenna is 68 and one-half foot long (one side is 23 feet long and the other is 45.5 feet long) with high quality components used throughout. We use #14 7/22 stranded hard-drawn copper wire to meet the National Electrical Code for antennas. All hardware is 18-8 stainless steel and all internal nuts are self-locking. We build the 4:1 Balun in house following the designs of Jerry Sevick, W2FMI. All of the components (except the UHF connector) are American made. Just take the antenna out of the box and hang it up and you are ready to go on four Ham bands. Can be used as an inverted V or hung straight. Our antennas are built using 18-8 stainless steel hardware, all internal nuts are self-locking, all screw holes are sealed with silicon sealant, and other holes are sealed with Coax-Seal. These antennas are made in our factory in Ottawa, Illinois and shipped directly to you through the US Post Office. Bill Franklin, K9EIF

Works great! Exactly what I wanted, at a great price.
This antenna works quite well. I opened it up and string it about 20 ft up from a tree to my garage. Within a few minutes I was picking up stations 1500 miles away. The only reason I'm not leaving 5 stars is that the SWR was high for me on 6m and 10m (over 3). That's in a straight horizontal configuration with 50 ft of rg8x. It is amazingly good on 20m though.Edit: upped to 5 stars. After redeployment. I have the antenna in a slight inverted v (120 degrees or so) and about 15 feet higher off the ground. I am not getting an SWR below 3 9n all the bands, which my IC7300 can them bring down to about 1.5 or less. Working fantastically. For my inverted v, I have the feedpoint as the highest part of the antenna and that seems to be working great.

Works out of the box. No trimming needed.
This is a very good quality product. This antenna was quick to install and using an mfj 949 antenna tuner I was able to tune the antenna on all bands from 10 to 160 meters. 160 and 80 had limited bandwidth and I could only get 160 meters down to 2.3:1 SWR but that is not bad for an antenna that is only suppose to work from 10m to 40m bands. The center of the antenna was mounted at 30' and the long side terminated at 6' above ground and the short side is at 10' above ground. It is mounterd in a horizontal L configuration at my qth. Im going to get additional poles so I can mount the antenna in a straight horizontal position later this summer but for now, I am on the air making qso's

Amazing DX!
Exactly as described. I hung it at 10 feet off the ground. Swr was 1.87 to 1. No tuning needed on the advertised bands. Made 2 contacts in Brazil in the first 10 mins of hanging it. Then a contact in Ireland. One in Cape Town South Africa. Hooked up a manual tuner and made several very good DX contacts on 80m and 160m. Thats all on the first day. Day 2, I hung it permanent between two 32' towers. Swr was 1.12 to 1 up to 1.19 to 1 with out a tuner. 209 contacts during a contest on 20m and 40m. I wasn't really trying to get as many as I could have. Manual tuner on 80m swr 1.19 to 1. Great DX on 20, 40, 80 and 160 using 20-60 watts. Only one contact was at 100 watts. 1100mile contact on 10m and 630 mile contact on 6m. Not many ppl on 6 and 10m. Im not sure how but on 2m my swr is 1.7 to 1. I hit the repeater 61 miles away just fine. Signal is just a little off because of polarity of antenna but signal is usable. Maybe I'll check swr on 70cm on my vna. I recommend this antenna. I will buy another and run them in phase to experiment.

Unmatched Lengths
These dipoles have unmatched lengths of antenna wire on each side.Buyer beware!

On a crappy install, still worked great.
I installed this in darn near worst conditions, running parallel to and only two feet above a 4’ high chain link fence for the entirety of its run. It was the only place I had. So it’s close to metal, and close to ground. Plus, I had to run over half of it through heavily branches and leafy apple trees (I trimmed and pruned to ensure no contact with wire, but it’s still encased by tree, lol). Plus it’s only ten feet away from a two story giant brick apartment building that towers over it and also parallels the a ten s it’s entire length. And the first thing I got was a 40m CW contact out of Germany. So yeah, even with a horrible set up, this antenna works surprisingly good.

Excellent construction...
When I opened the box that the antenna was shipped in, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product. First rate in its construction and clearly well thought out. I have yet to hang it on a mast and run an antenna analyzer through it, but I'm anticipating excellent performance.

4000+ miles on 1 watt! Tunes up nicely as advertised.
This seems to be the best performance/price I've found on Amazon or Eb@y. Low 1s SWR on 10, 20, and 40. On 80m I achieved around 1.2:1, surprisingly, with the tuner on a Xiegu G90 with a less-than-ideal rigging. (Side/semi-inverted-V by yagi and through a tree and 10ft from ground at lowest point, attached to rain gutter on short leg). Hand wound an air choke from the coax just to be safe for stray shield rf kickback. Used a lightning arrester also.Made a 1000 mile contract on 40 w/ 10W straight away. Also tunes great on 12M, 15M, 30M & 60M. The only bands I can't do with this antenna are 17M & 160M. Compact size fit my roof profile as hoped. I painted mine black (grey would prob be even better) and it is now not noticeable visually. (wife is antenna-adverse). Would also be a good choice for portable/POTA etc although the wire can get a bit tangly. (Edit: have since worked over 40 countries, many 4000+ mile contacts with 1 watt. Yeah this antenna rocks!)

40/20 for the Buck
I am upgrading this to 5 stars, however I always use my tuner and I will stand by the sheathed wire, once you install an OCFD with a sheathed quality line you will never use the other again. I trust hams who build for other hams but the profit margin would dive with the cost increase of the better line would hurt the price point. Enjoy.Well built, but the wire used is the worse twisted up mess I have ever seen, for a few bucks more a sheathed quality wire would be desirable. In the end its all about the cut and balun, thus performance after the time you spend untwisting this unforgiving line. I will upgrade this review if it tunes up as any other ocfd, regardless of line, overall the simplest antenna you can have if you can get the height. Don't forget the choke for common mode and an arrestor! Its better than three stars especially with the added weather seal tape, the good stuff. Bottom line is the wire used dropped 1 star, takeaway is the quality of the build, Performance is in your installation and tuner, 73
