Standard, old school lock. Good build quality. Best part is Godrej offering free installation. Mr Raees from Godrej (installation technician) was prompt - within 24 hours. Had all equipment and installed it flawlessly. 5 stars to Mr Raees and Godrej on this experience. Recommend the product for main doors.

Locked out of my own house twice
I purchased this Godrej main door lock in July 2024 and had it installed by an authorized Godrej technician, trusting the brand’s reputation for safety and reliability. On 7th January 2026, the lock completely failed to open, leaving my family and me stranded outside our home for over one hour. Despite 10–12 neighbors trying to help, the lock would not open. It finally opened on its own after approximately 1.5 hours. This was not the first time — the issue has now occurred twice. I immediately raised a service complaint. The technician visited the next day and said the lock was “working fine” and advised me to report again if the issue reoccurs. The Bangalore office representative informed me that the lock cannot be replaced unless the problem happens again. This response is unacceptable. A main door lock is a critical safety device. Customers cannot be expected to wait outside their homes repeatedly until the product fails again before action is taken. Being locked out of your own home is not a minor inconvenience — it is a serious safety concern. I am extremely disappointed with both the product reliability and the after-sales support. I would strongly advise potential buyers to reconsider, especially if you are depending on this lock for primary home security.
