Old school and love it! 😀
This DVD kinda aimed at a bit older audience than me, but I wanted to do a 20 minutes workout each day which is achieveable, yet challenging. I am 44 years old; not a couch potato but equally not a super fit bird! This DVD gives 2 workouts: first one the easier one; second is more challenging. The thing I like is that there is no faffing between the warm up section, stop to select work out of choice and stop to select the cool down. Arghhhh! All in one routines. Partly sitting, partly standing. With hand weights.Jane Fonda great advocate for fitness - even into her 70's - and shows us it is possible.Great product at a low price, what can be better - thanks Amazon and JF! 😀

'Go for the burn'
I am a great fan of Jane Fonda and her many workouts as she always puts you through a very intense programme whilst making it look oh so easy!In the 70's I was able to 'go for the burn' but now I am 60 I wanted something a little lighter. I had also put on quite a bit of weight due to a knee problem which prohibited any form of exercise and was not very inspired by all the 'younger' looking exercise DVD's from numerous celebrities that are out there.I was delighted when Jane's new Fitness and Strong DVD hit the shelves, at last something I was familiar with and as she is now 72 I knew she would be merciful this time round! And yes she is as pleasant as always whilst encouraging you all the way.No floor work or aerobic exercises but she does recommend Tai Chi and Pilates as alternatives or extras. There are 2 exercises to follow, one is for a mild workout of about 20 mins whilst the other is more intense at about 30 mins. Both incorporate a chair, small weights and a towel and really are made for the 'older' generation. This DVD is about keeping fit, improving balance and keeping muscles loose.I found I could do these quite easily and did not feel completely out of breath, just a nice fluid heartbeat.I can already feel the difference and am very happy that Ms Fonda has taken the courage to be different and looked at the older folk out there and concluded we all need a little help! One thing that did annoy me but wasn't such an issue really, the back ground music tended to be a little loud in places especially on the more intensive workout and at times I had to strain to hear what Jane was saying.Other than that, an amazing DVD, try it, you won't regret it.Good Luck!

Jane keeps you fit!
I used to do Jane Fonda in my 30s, it worked then and now I'm in my 70s it still works. Where have those years gone?! There is a gentle routine, some of it sitting down, for those who have never done anything like this before, and then a slightly more challenging routine when your ability improves - and it will!

Tone and flex
If you expect this DVD to be about jumping around you are so wrong. It is for tone and flex. As you get older, I'm the wrong side of 65 with arthritis in all my joints. It is so easy to get less flexible as everything doesn't work quiet as well as it did in your 30s and can be painful if you do too much. I have found this DVD really helps to keep my joints moving without over stressing them. All the movements should be within the capabilities of most people what ever their age. Yes they are slow and gentle, but done regularly they do help to keep the muscles in shape and the joints seizing up. This DVD should not be derided because it is slow and gentle, on the contrary JF should be applauded for helping us to keep moving especially when not all of us are up to leaping around the place due to infirmity or age or both. Remember the tortoise and the hare, fast is not always the best way to get the result you ultimately want.

Jane Fonda still has her magic!
I did Jane's original workout decades ago. I'm now over 70, and can say that her Prime Time Fit & Strong is very well adapted to older people. I've been doing both the easier and more challenging routines at least every other day and after a week already feel results. Besides that, Jane has lost none of her charm and makes the whole workout enjoyable rather than a necessary ordeal.

Jane Fonda: Prime Time Fit & Strong
Fifty-ish, haven't exercised before, for a while or looking to get back into exercising then this is the one! Overall the workouts look quite easy (there are two) once you start the workout (you will remember why you stopped exercising in the first place - just joking!) seriously they are gentle but thorough which is why I liked them. Although I have only started doing the workout; it has been about a week and I can see and feel the difference. Jane Fonda makes exercising a pleasure there are no high impact aerobics to have you jumping around just an excellent exercise regime working your muscles to build strength & burn calories.

Fir for Purpose
As a Jane Fonda devotee (I still, at 64, use her step aerobics tape) thought I'd see what she had up her sleeve for the wrinkly brigade. On my own I probably wouldn't carry on using this, BUT my 66 year old husband, Mr Sedentary with a knee replacement has taken to this like a duck to water. So every day we exercise together. And now, from barely being able to hobble across town, he can go on 4 mile walks without feeling as though he might expire. He loves Jane and we have a date with her every day. I would highly recommend this dvd for anyone who has had a knee or hip replacement as well as for the krinklies.
