So far this has been a great product. It works as advertised, with the lid opening and closing every time it senses my hand without fail. It holds a 13 gallon trash bag so you don't have to replace the bags every few days. It's also very stylish (for trash can lol) and very lightweight so it's easy to empty and move. I can't comment on battery life because I've only been using it for a week or two, but I'm sure that's relative to how often you use it. So much more convenient than actually opening the trash lid for us OCD and lazy people! Haha

Absolutely amazing automatic garbage can . The best garbage can I've ever used . No touch no problem. Never again get your hands dirty with this automatic garbage can.. the lid opens via sensor, simple to use just put your hand above the lid and wala just like magic open sesame the cab opens and closes on its own allowing you to place your trash into the receptacle without having to open it up yourself. Keeping your hands jerm free.

Love this kitchen trashcan it is the absolute right size and height to hold a bunch of things, but not be very bulky over powering in the kitchen. It absorbs the smell of any food or any odors and it opens and closes as it should. I absolutely love it definitely would recommend and purchase again.

It's large but still fits in a small space. I got the plastic version because stainless is too hard to keep clean and any metal trash bin in a small space can be too easily dented. The model I received takes four C batteries, even though the description says four AA. I was using this bin without batteries initially and it worked just fine with manual opening and closing of the lid.I still operate it manually sometimes, even though I now have batteries installed, because with hands-free operation the lid stays open a full four seconds, which is longer than necessary most of the time, but is long enough to allow odors to escape. Regardless of how you operate the lid, it makes a noise when it opens and closes but, so what!Tall 13-gallon kitchen bags fit well enough--some brands might be a little loose around the rim and my bin does not have an included plastic ring to hold the bag in place. However, the lid of the bin comes down over the top edge of the installed bag enough to both hide the bag and hold it in place; I have not had a bag slip out of position yet.I like this trash bin and would recommend it to a friend.

I have used this AUTOMATIC TOP LID OPEN TRASH CAN IN MY KITCHEN with a 13-gallon bag placed around the inside top edges fir at least 6 months now. It OPENS great with a wave of the hand over the LID SENSORS ! BLUE COLORING IS PRETTY ! EXTREMELY PLEASED ! Reasonable price !

The first one I received was defective because the lid would not close all the way. I live in a studio so this is a problem. The lid requires 4 C batteries to operate so I went out and bought batteries and I was hoping the lid would close properly if I put batteries in, but it would not. I wanted to just return the thing because it's expensive & shorter than expected, but I couldn't return the $12 batteries I had bought so I figured I would just try to return the thing for another one.The second can I received had a huge dent in it.The dent was there before I took it out of the box. I didn't want to deal with returning the thing again so I just kept it.It's expensive for what it is and smaller than I thought it would be. I wish I had read that it required batteries before I bought it because if I hadn't bought the batteries, I definitely would have just returned it.It does look nicer than the plastic trash can I had before, but that's not saying much.
