Ok , so just don't look at the price. Think of it like this - go buy 3lbs of quality beef at the store , spices, gas to drive there , dry it down to 1 lb and you'll spend just as much . This is'nt gobble down stuff , its more of a special treat like a glass of fine scotch. Cudos to the lady with the review 'more mango than hot'. This is a tender quality jerky with a really good flavor and a nice balance of sweet n spicey, not burn your face off. It's really tender and the first thing I noticed was that it didn't get stuck in my teeth .... AT ALL. Even my own home made jerky that I trim up six ways to sunday gets stuck in my teeth. It's very tender , I think some folks mistake sticky sugary corn syrup gooped up roadkill for 'moist' . This is actually mostly just MEAT with a good moisture content and it was very yummy 👍

These are very unique and the just the right combination of Mild Heat and slight sweetness. The meat is tender and not too moist. It's easy on my "capped" teeth and acts a nice snack to pick at, occasionally. I would highly recommend these to a friend. Don't understand how anyone could rate this product lower than 4 stars.

The package show up 2 hours after the note n picture from your delivery person. The jerky was not too stiff but the pepper spice was overwhelming. I cannot eat this product. I'm not happy about his experience. I have spent thousands of dollars at Amazon and you have no return policy on this item. This has made me rethink my prime membership

If I buy this or the fuego flavor they are consumed within 24 hours, a pound of jerky in a day - it’s that good. The only other jerky that compares it Krave Sweet Chipotle but I like the spicy tangy flavor better in the country archer mango habanero. This jerky similar to krave is less dry, even a little moist and delicate which I prefer to very dry and tough like leather.

If I could, I would rate this 3.5 out of 5. But I rounded up to 4.Basically, I can eat this bag but I don't think I would get it again. I want to try out other options. But I would rather eat this than any Jack Links garbage.Mango Habanero Taste----------------So, mango habanero. It's VERY mango-y, and mild on the heat. I think they need to tone down the mango-ness as it is overpowering the beef. It's an interesting balance they decided to go with since mango can easily overpower something but habanero cannot. What I mean is, mango is thick and powerful. Habanero is just flavorful heat, there can't be so much of it that you can't taste the meat, even if it burns your mouth off. So if they went with a more habanero favored balance then you can get the beef, habanero, mango trifecta. Not really sure why they leaned on the mango so much.That being said, it is edible. It's just there isn't a kick and you don't get the flavor of the habanero in there. Now of course, there are times when you can really get a bite that has a much more pronounced habanero taste. Those are the best pieces. But I can definitely finish this bag no problem, hence the 4 star rating.Beef taste-------------------------------As for the beef itself, it's pretty good. I really hate Jack Links beef jerky, it looks like you're eating rubber. But this beef is well done, you can get some tear off it. Nice stuff, with Jack Links I might as well be eating a beef flavored gummy bear. So, while mango habanero may be a bit of a disappointment, I think their other more traditional flavors have a good chance at being quite tasty if this is there usual way of handling the beef side of things.Beef Texture-----------------------------The beef here is about right on the thickness. Some beef jerky brands are paper thing, some are thick but made of gelatin -ahem- Jack Links -ahem-.... This beef is a good thickness, definitely feels closer to what the beef used to be rather than dehydrating the life out of it. So, pretty good.

Great on road trips. Spicy but not deadly, and a great gluten free snack that is actually gluten free. Ordered about 8 bags this year alone so far b/c it's perfect for road trips. It will dry out once opened in about a week so use the wet paper towel trick after a week to rehydrate. Tasty and now a standard travel staple!

I opened and tried this jerky within 2 days of receiving it. It wasn't the same experience I had with the same bag I got from Costco. That bag was soft and moist and very flavorful. This bag that I just received from Amazon was very hard and dry... yes, I know it's jerky... and almost had no flavor. What I liked about the Country Archer brand jerky is that it's not so difficult to chew and gristley, but that wasn't the case this time. It's like this thing had been sitting in a closet for a year and a half. I'll buy it from Costco again but not here.
