TL;DR: If at all, the different tools function far too similarly, none very well. The pottery tools could make a lovely ripe-melon sculpture, perhaps. They are not for pumpkins.---"Neat! I love carving intricate jack-o'-lanterns. This assortment of leveled-up basic tools (ie, metal is involved) will be like expanding my palette!"Nah. Most of the tools (the *pottery tools) puncture the skin of the pumpkin clumsily and at the same diameter. The fine blade must be X-acto's factory rejects. It's the most malleable and imprecise blade I've ever worked with. It's also the the only thin blade provided. It, and the long "poker" prefer to stubbornly burrow into the pumpkins' flesh than remain set in the handle.And really, it's just dangerous if a razor blade surprise-pops out of its handle. Doesn't matter when.*(One tool does look as though it might be useful for removing blackheads, so a second star for that.)*

these tools were amazing. lightweight but amazingly strong. they never bent or broke at all. they held up so well i've packed them away for next year! definitely recommend.

I actually bought two of these. One for me and one for my daughter-in-law. We both LOVE carving pumpkins.We both love these kits. They are so worth the money to buy. There are many different tools for carving and designing. They are great quality, easy to clean and can be stored in the bag that it comes with. Now I don't have to buy a new kit every year.

Cute little pumpkin carving set. I plan on surprising my hubby with these tools after pumpkin picking this fall. The tools come in a cute little canvas orange zipper bag and it includes 11 tools total. Some have plastic ends and some have wood handles as seen in photos. The edges feel very sharp according to my fingertips.

Much better than what you may find at a local shop!I purchased two of these packs for a Pumpkin carving event. They didn't bend or snap off like the ones at the local Walmart would. Once everyone saw what they could do, they were asking to use them! Someone even give me money for one of the pack, so they could use it with their kids.

The tools that have the orange handles are of good quality and are sturdy. The "carving tools" are NOT meant for a pumpkin. Please be aware that the pieces break apart as soon as you apply them to carve. Some are sharp so it is important that people do not use them on pumpkins. If you can find set with only the orange handled tools they are perfect and I would buy those again.

I bought this last year for carving our pumpkins. We used again this year, and it is still in perfect condition. Makes the carving task really easy. Love these tools.

I was so excited for this set. I really thought it would be better than the crap they sell at the stores. Nope. Just as bad if not more disappointing. The sawing knives got all bent the minute I started using it. The shavers are a joke.
