Helps with Gas
used these on my baby when transitioning to bottle. the large nipple helped it be more like the natural breast and the bag helped with keeping air out of her belly. gently squeeze the bag to get the air out before feeding baby. didn't have a problem with her sucking in air like you do from a normal bottle. it's great too since you can adjust the bottle if you need it to support on you while you multitask.

Great Product, Very Sanitary
This is such a great invention. With my other kids I used normal bottles, and always worried about cleaning at the bottom of the bottles very well. Also I am not sure if it was the formula we used but the bottles inside would always become greasy. With this product you just take a insert out wash the bottle from top and insert brush in the bottom also, clean the nipple and you are good to go. I was worried about buying the inserts and what if I ran out what would we use, but the boxes of inserts last awhile especially if you buy 3 or 4 at a time. Also if you like to get the most bang for your buck, I believe the 4 oz bottles are useless you can buy the 8 oz bottles and use the 4 oz inserts. My son only used the 4 oz for maybe 2 months and I still had inserts so I started making 2 bottles back to back. Also you can always replace the nipples.

Still as great as they used to be, even better!
I used Playtex bottles and liners with all my babies 19-25 years ago. I bought these for my first grandchild when my daughter found out that she was unable to nurse. The new style is just as good as the old style, even better actually. There have been several improvements. The drop-ins liners are super easy & can be used with only one hand. The old ones required two hands & you had to stretch it over the bottle top. The liner is also preformed so it's fully expanded & easier to fill, a huge improvement over the old flat style. The nurser itself has a hinge so you can feed the baby at the correct angle. I really like the collar arrows so you know when the collar is twisted on far enough to avoid leaks. We've not had any instances of leaks at all. The only thing I miss about the old style is the fun colors & patterns that the nursers came in. These are plain & sorta boring looking, but they work very well & I'm pleased with how they function, as is my daughter.

Worst product ever
I had no idea what I was getting when I purchased this item. Yes, they are "cute", but they are made out of a very cheap, rigid plastic. This is not like the traditional Playtex nurser and will, literally, crack under pressure. What's more, this bottle was completely melted when I used it in my steamer bottle warmer. I do also have the traditional plastic nursers and have used them happily (with and without the bottle warmer), with great success.Do not get suckered in by the flashy packaging. Spend the extra couple of dollars and buy the tried-and-true original design. Playtex Baby Drop-Ins Original Nurser 8-10 OZ: TurquoiseUpdate--My comment is not about the liners, or excess air, etc. I have done just fine with the drop-ins and I love that I can still buy rubber nipples for the nurser. I'm speaking specifically to the quality of the actual plastic bottle.

Great bottle system!!
I originally purchased this system 9 years ago (before the nicer designer style came out)for my oldest daughter and I liked them so much.... that when my second child was born I used them again... I couldn't help it... I loved the fact that you could literally push all of the air out of the bottle... so I knew she wasn't consuming a ton of air and I liked the fact that she didn't have to lie flat in order to eat... which of course prevented liquid from draining down into her inner ears. As a result... my daughter's neither one ever suffered from ear infections or colic. I mean you've got to love that. Thinking of course that my second child was more than likely my last... I got rid of these bottles when I got rid of most of our other "baby" stuff. Now that I am pregnant with our third child... what else would I buy. These bottles are great and I highly recommend them. My sisters used this system for their children and each had the same colic free, ear infection free results that I had. Personally I think that says it all.
