Great desk for the money
When the package arrived it looked like it had been to war. I was a bit nervous that the top piece would be damaged. However the packing was done to perfection and not a single nick. It was easy to assemble and took about 20 min. Over all this is a great desk and I would recommend.

Better than I expected
I have used a sit/stand desk at work for 4-5 years, due to lower back and sciatic pain when sitting for prolonged periods. The one I have at work is electric, and I really like it. Spending a portion of each day standing, a portion sitting.Like many, I have been fortunate enough with my job during the COVID-19 pandemic to be able to do most of my work from home. Until now, I have done so with makeshift work arrangements that have left me feeling the dreaded familiar pain that I had largely forgotten about. I finally decided that it was time to take action. Not knowing how much longer I would be working from home, but realizing that probably even after this pandemic I would have more opportunities for remote work, I started trying to find an affordable alternative to my work setup.I discovered Stand Steady and their manual crank standing desk. It even had the upper shelf to hold my monitors, which I knew was important for me, as when standing the monitors need to be higher than the keyboard to be ergonomically correct for my neck. The desk came yesterday and was easily set up. With the help of my wife, it was assembled in less than 20 minutes. And being familiar with a standing desk, I wasn't expecting a desk this sturdy. It is much sturdier than the one I use at work. It feels very solid. Since it does move up and down, it can't be leaned against the wall behind it. However, I remedied this by using a rubber door stop behind the desk when stationary (see attached picture). I insert it enough to steady the desk and this makes it feel incredibly solid. There is absolutely no monitor 'jiggle' as I type or work on the desk.I am 6'0 and for me, it takes about 38 cranks on the handle to go from a sitting to standing position, and vise versa. Easier and faster than I thought it would be.

Great desk!
Great desk! I was nervous about the crank option and putting it together so it worked properly. But I was able to put this together on my own with no issues and the crank works perfectly. Highly recommend

Good desk
I have a sit-stand desk at work and really like it, but didn't have one at home since they're expensive. With having to work at home during the virus outbreak, I just couldn't stand being at my cramped, non-adjustable desk all day. This hand-crank desk seemed the best compromise.... not super expensive but larger and adjustable.Assembly was pretty easy as these things go. All the holes in the right place and of the right size, all parts were included, etc. Took less than an hour. Biggest hurdle for me was the weight.I bought the extra monitor shelf and it was definitely worth the money. Gives me lots of work space on the main desktop. Overall the desk was a good buy. Somewhat wobbly when adjusting height or if I bump into it. I think this is due to the weight of the monitors on the higher shelf. Not like it's going to tip over but more wobbly than truly ideal. Hand-drank works fine and I don't mind it (have an electric model at work). I probably adjust the height 3 times a day. I'm 5'1' and the desk goes both low enough (I have to use a footrest) and high enough for me to be comfortable. The desk surface does show fingerprints, dust, cat hair, etc. fairly well so if you really like your work space sparkly clean you would need to clean it every day. The desk developed a nasty squeaking sound the second week I used it and I thought I'd have to turn it over and tighten things up.... but the squeaking has subsided. No idea why.All told, a good option for a reasonably priced adjustable desk.

Very practical for work from home!
This desk is perfect for my WFH needs. I keep it in the standing position height and use a drafting chair (also purchased on Amazon) so that I can go from sitting to standing without adjusting the desk height. And as an added bonus, even if you have to stand unexpectedly during a call, the camera is still at a good height as far as what people see! I have room for my laptop and two monitors on the shelf. It took me and my daughter a couple of hours to assemble the desk. Then we discovered that there were no holes for the drawer. I wrote to Amazon and the seller wrote back right away and said that no holes are intentional so that you can put the drawer in any spot. I used the desk without the drawer for a while and then my husband installed the drawer recently. He was able to install it very quickly but it requires real tools (drill) which I am not comfortable with. This is a great desk, very practical for working from home!
