The media could not be loaded. Was a fun thing to do. All the parts needed were in the box. The battery connector is reversed so I'm going to have to splice it or fix that. If that is your case you will notice when trying to test the servos, nothing will happen. You need the 9v power to power the board that controls the servos. Small screws to work and big hands make it a challenge, but doable. Use your camera to zoom in details. All fit correctly. Colors for the ultrasonic wires are different in page 14, but they are corrected in page 28. It dances once an stops. Not sure if that is by design or an error in the code or if the board have a problem, will check with more detail next. But overall, it's good for the price.*** fixed the reverse connector... just remove the pins from the connector and reinstall them.

I bought this for my friend’s son and he liked this robot a lot, well built and super fast shipping.

I bought this as a gift for my father who is a programmer. We had no issue assembling (although you may need to use tweezers like us to hold the tiny nuts steady as you thread them) only one minor issue programming but the instruction guide is pretty robust. There are some spelling errors/vague descriptions but overall it is easy to understand. For someone who has no experience with computers or mechanical fasteners they may want to proceed with caution.

Great kit but ended up using it for the parts.

I agree with several other reviews that this is not a starter kit. I am a retired electrical engineer and have been working with Arduinos for that last three years. Someone with no experience with Arduino will find this daunting. My problem with the product is Sunfounder. I built the robot and noticed that the plastic washers were missing from the box. I emailed Sunfounder customer service and received no reply. I then contacted Amazon customer service. Their only solution was a $15 partial refund, a replacement or send it back for a full refund. Forgive me for not wanting to see so much time and material go to waste. If I sent it back, Amazon can't resell a partially built robot, with missing parts. So it ends up in some trash bin. Also I lose the time spent building it. A partial refund means I have invested a little less money in a non-functioning robot. To get the information I need to fabricate the missing parts, I am going to have to buy another one. I will now be the proud owner of two robots, when I only wanted one. All I wanted was my four little missing washers. Is that too much to ask? PS: I have purchased and built several other robots from Amazon, one form or another, and have had no problem.

UPDATE - The company has been great about helping us get to the bottom of the problem that we are experiencing.We haven't solved it completely but we have come up with a workaround with a new driver and selecting a different processor ("old bootloader".)Also, they did send us a new robot to see if it was a faulty board on the first one we received. I am happy with the customer service completely and once we have completed the build and know that is is working fully I will update the review once again.--PREVIOUS REVIEW--The Arduino Nano board clone that comes with this kit is not compatible with a Mac (I am running High Sierra 10.13.6)Since the computer does not recognize the port, there is no way to connect the board to program it.I am very disappointed in the product and the company. I have been in communication with them via email and they sent me to a link that just has the same directions that come with the robot. I tried to install the drivers that they suggested but the driver is for computers running 10.10 or lower. They have offered no other solution and we have wasted our time and money and we have a 7 year old robot fanatic that can't use his birthday present.

Great item for gift for kids or someone wanting to learn robotics.
