Chug Chug Tractor (Super Noisy Books)

First the sound didn't work but then we left it for a day and ever since it's working :)Cute book with lots of car engine sounds effects

This book was a massive hit for an 18 month old. He loves it

I bought this book for my 2 year old granddaughter who LOVES tractors and big trucks. She was so excited but most of the flaps do not actually make a noise. She kept opening all the flaps and nothing happened. She kept pressing down expecting something - it was so disappointing! The mechanism that creates the noises on the flaps that did also stopped working after a couple of days. I can't return it as I can't get it off her either. It was a waste of money.

My grandson is obsessed with tractors so I had to get this book.It was on offer so represented great value considering the large size.The pictures are large and colour, especially the tractor, which dominates most pages.I did find the flaps a bit too flimsy, my grandson is only 16 months old but he’s got loads of this type of lift the flap books, so he’s accustomed to them but he still managed to pull one of the small flaps off straight away. It’s stuck back on with sellotape but they really should be made with better quality paper.The sounds are light activated, so you lift the flap and the noise starts. The tractor engine sounds very authentic, it’s my grandsons favourite, he keeps going back to that page.Unfortunately when the light starts to fade, not significantly either, the noise doesn’t work. I thought the battery had ran out at first but I needed to incline the book towards the window for it to work. It was only 5pm, a bit of a cloudy day but sunset wasn’t until 9pm so it’s not as if it was getting dark at the time.This means you can’t use it in dim light, so no good for a bedtime book when you’re reading it via a nightlight or dimmed light when you’re settling your child down to sleep.It’s the only reason I’ve given it 4 stars, otherwise it’s perfect, lots of interactive elements and good, realistic sounds.Hope you found my review helpful

My two year old grandson loves this book

My grandson who is 19months old is tractor daft and loves this book. He loves the sounds and lifting the flaps. Beautifully illustrated with plenty to talk about on each page. Haven't had an issue with battery and it has been well used

Well written with textures, sounds and more. Fabulous learning and fun book for a young child that likes tractors.

The sounds are great but to few, sounds are light generated . Book very strong and firm, however to expensive for 5 pages

Fantastic book for tractor lovers like my 2 year old. The sounds are fantastic, many flaps to keep the child busy during meal time. He is curious to open the flaps and listen to sounds.

The media could not be loaded. Good one however lights don’t work

My 14month old son has an obsession with tractors and loves anything with sounds and flaps that he can open himself. So this book ticked all those boxed and am very impressed with it and highly recommend it - only thing is the sound sensors need a lot of light, so when we read this at night it can be a little difficult and better to be read during the day
