Preacher Book Two

Loved the 1st volume and the 2nd most certainly didn't disappoint
Wow I love this, the absurdity of most of the things going on but at the same time the feeling of it you know if that makes any sense. And I like the way the characters have evolved each in their own way maybe not fully but definitely some movement there. The art is fantastic and the story is fabulous. Where sometimes The Boys is crazy and excess for the sake of excess the excess and craziest shit that happens doesn't feel forced or needed anything could be in the story at that given time and the craziness works with or without it,loved the backstory for some of the characters. And can't wait to see how someone's gonna be when they hopefully meet in book 3 so I'm looking forward to that cause it's gonna be something. Maybe good but probably bad especially at 1st so onto book 3 please keep being the thing that started in book 1 and thought the first 2 books has been one of my favorite graphic novel reads in a while.

If you are into the Preacher graphic novel series you made want to check out book 2.
The story continues in book two of the Preacher graphic novel series (by Barth Ennis and Steve Dillon, 368 pages) with Reverend Jesse Custer, his passionate girlfriend Tulip, and Cassidy, the liquor loving Irish Vampire. In this action packed issue there is again numerous strange and weird characters including killers, sexual perverts, revenge seeking supposedly religious leaders and other lunatics.Cassidy tells a vicious group of thugs that he is Reverend Jessie Custer, because they threatened to kill Tulip, (Jessiโs girlfriend). They kidnap Cassidy, thinking he is Revenue Jessie Custer and take him to a remote location. When Jessie finds out Cassidy has been kidnapped he and Tulip go after those kidnappers to save Cassidy as the thugs try to totally kill the vampire. This book has 14 chapters covering the following topics: Came a pale rider, boys will be boys, crashing the party, judgment night. Miracle man, Texas and the spaceman, of things to come, too much gun, storm bringers, in the blood, Revelations, and justice for all, cry blood, cry rain and to the streets of Manhattan I wandered away. These Preacher graphic novels are sometimes funny, sexy in a raw sort of way and always very bloody, which is probably what makes them so popular. If you are into the Preacher series you may want to check out book two.Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Training alone in Combatives and Self-Defense).

Must read
I loveed the writing in preacher. The artwork is amazing and the storytelling is equally as amazing. My favorite character I think anyone will like would be Cassidy.

Fun? yes, but als full of hypocrisy
Preacher and crew go fight the status quo forces as their (and the authorโs) own prejudices are revealed. Canโt say it isnโt entertaining but filled with its own hypocrisy

Probably one of the best series ever written
Dark gritty, obscene and deeply involved. Characters and psychopaths are amazingly portrayed with evolving story and emotion.Highly recommend it

This part was really great. We get a lot of back story on Cassidy and he becomes fully dedicated to the cause of helping Jesse. Now if they can just find God...

A blasphemous thrillride from cover to cover that will leave you satisfied and wanting more...
After reading Book One my only concern was how Garth and Steve were going to top it. This Book put away any of my concerns for the rest of the series. All I have are Books 5 & 6 left and so far, Preacher has not let up. This is definetly a series to get your hands on especially since AMC is adapting it for television real soon. Book Two contains some of the most climatic chapters of the series and puts in motion future storylines that promise to be just as climatic. All of Preacher's trademarks from Book One are well executed in this installment. In Book Two, you will truly understand why this series is so controversial. Nevertheless it is entertaining. This was a great read in a great series. Humperdoo!

An essential read...
Reading through this series for the seventh time now. I recommend this book to everyone: movie lovers, TV serial fans, comic book fans... Everyone. The messages, the characters, the pacing, all amazing. Has that thick, violent Tarantino style, mixed in with a healthy dose of theology and philosophy, and a fantastic range of characters that will have you smiling all the way throughout. Pick it up, read it, love it forever.

Absolutely brilliant
Amazing. I saw the TV show first and was recommended these books. I aren't much of a collector but I'll definitely be collecting these. Book one was brilliant and book 2 was even better. Brilliant for the price too.
