Whatever you do, never give your dog cat treats or food. I'm learning the hard way. We have a dog and cat and they always sneak and eat eachothers food. I didn't know that the cats food could cause kidney failure. We luckily caught our mistake before it got to kidney failure but now we are doing our best to ensure he stays healthy. He started to not want to drink his water so my son boiled chicken and he loves the broth and now I just mix a little broth and put some shredded chicken at the bottom of the bowl and he drinks all the water to get the chicken. I'm just sharing as much as I can for other dog moms. As for this dog food...I really thought he was going to hate it. He's not much of a crunchy dog, he prefers wet pate. I put it down in front of him, he looked at it, from a distance and I thought he was not interested. I went out to the garage to get his wet food and my hubby said, "he's chowing it down". Now, everytime I put it down, he eats it right up. You will have to get your vets approval before they send it but it was so easy. I just called my vet and let him know to be on the lookout and it showed up a few days later. I hope your fur baby loves it too.❤️ 🐕

Superb product and my dog loved it. Difficult to find though

I like the kibble for my teeny 6 pound Chi with kidney problems. The only thing I do not like is the size of the kibble and how hard it is to soften. My dogs eat Blue’s dog food. The kibble of regular dog food is the right size for small aging dogs. The Kidney kibble is too big & I can’t understand why they produce a disc size kibble

With an aging (14yrs) dog in renal failure a good food is critical. And older pets don't always have a great appetite. My dog used to eat Hills Rx Diet KD - a company/food I have great respect for - but she slowly rejected. I searched Amazon for an alternative and came across this product. So far she is eating it pretty well and I am pleased with her behavior and energy level. No loose stools or vomiting either! Yay!

Good product, my dogs likes it and she finicky

I'm giving this two stars because the ingredients don't look horrific like most other kidney support foods and a lot of dogs seem to enjoy this. However, our dog refused to eat this after less than a week. I was adding his old food in with it and once it went to all of this, he stopped eating it. He is not picky whatsoever I have never seen him refuse any type of food. The smell is pretty strong but I doubt a dog would mind that. I will not repurchase.

So far so good my dog hates most dry food that she is allowed to eat and at 20 years young, deaf and blind.. she tore this up.. I normally have to buy her wet food for her kidneys… chewy Messed up and sent us cat food(the forza10active wet renal) that looks the same as the dog food.. I needed something quick and Amazon Rufus came through with a recommendation … my dog can’t stand the Hills brand( wet or dry) or the forza dry but this was a hit…
