Excel 2013: The Missing Manual

Best Excel manual ever!
This book is GREAT. I wish I could find Missing Manuals for everything, like the "For Dummies" series but far better. When the look of Excel changed dramatically from Office 2003 to off 2007, I bought the Excel 2007 version of this book to help me bridge from the old to new Excel. The 2007 book carried me through a few years including through Office 2010. I didn't upgrade Office again until the 2016 release came out, and found it looked dramatically different once again. So I started looking for a newer version of this book, and ONLY this book. I've never seen such an intuitively organized, clearly written manual. The index is clear, always has what I'm looking for, which in my case is typically the more complex formulas or charting. The language is clear and conversational, not dry, and the examples are spot on in helping my understanding.

Best books for learning excel
This are the best books to learn excel but it is too bad they did not continue publishing them. The explanation of how to the formulas work are much better explained. Miss this books, they should have continue publishing with the new versions.

Missing Manual is Missing Pages
My book arrived in good condition, except for the fact that it's missing everything up to page 23 of chapter 1. It's missing the title page, acknowledgements, table of contents, and the first 22 pages of chapter 1. It starts abruptly with the Backstage View section. As I've been using Excel for two decades, it's not a big deal; but it is rather odd. MacDonald and the Missing Manual series are top-notch, and this book would be five stars if not for this glaring quality control issue. I'm happy with the purchase overall, and will be buying more Missing Manuals in the future.

The Manual I Was Missing
This appears to be what I was looking for. I've used other "missing manual" publications and they have been complete and easy to understand. I haven't used this enough to give it five stars, but I think it will be fine for may purposes. I am a relatively experienced Excel user, but not what I would term a "power user".

Great overall guide
Great overall guide. Has a few instructions missing like sumproduct, but it gets the job done. I wish the images were in color.

A great resource for the Excel user.
I have used the missing manual series for several years. This book is packaged with valuable information. One can use this reference volume to research and to teach yourself something new.

:)
I am on page 15 and loving this so far. It is so easy to follow and I can literally open up excel and learn things step by step while I am reading the book.

IDEAL OVERALL GUIDE TO EXCEL
A hefty book. Very readable, provided you give yourself time to understand it. It is likely better followed by breaking some of the textual matter to manageable portions, as there is a lot which is covered in any given topic. It's there...somewhere.

Excel 2013: The Missing Manual
Slowly getting into this book but it seems to cover everything I need and compliment Excel 2013 All-in-one For Dummies
