Amazon Echo Power Adapter 30W Black: Echo (3rd Gen), Echo Plus (2nd Gen), Echo Show (2nd gen), Echo Show 8

Needed a new plug to replace the one I lost. Quality of this plug looks great and have had zero issues so far.

Info should state exacyly which echo dot it works for as I bought this, only to realize when I arrived overseas that the adapter end couldn't fit.

This is the color of the power adapter that should be shipping with all black Echo's and Echo Dots...not white cords. This adapter also works on Gen 2 Echos. It's the same adapter as the one that comes with the Echo 2nd Gen. Why Amazon is shipping WHITE cords and adapters with BLACK Echos and Echo Dots is a mystery easily solved when you consider how much money they are saving on using one WHITE adapter, regardless of the color of the device and no matter how stupid a white cord attached to a black Echo looks on a wood table.

Really frustrated. Amazon customer service had me purchase this (with an expected refund) when my charcoal all new 2021 Echo Show 5 2nd Gen arrived packaged with a white cord (never had a black device packaged with a white cord). This replacement cord, despite the description, does NOT fit this specific 2021 Show 5 2nd Gen. the plug is to big for the Show. Apparently, Amazon customer service is unaware. Many reviews on this product say the same thing but Amazon Cust Service unaware. After getting the unusable cord, I got customer service to admit a black cord "isn't available yet" but should be soon. In other words, they purposely packaged white cords with charcoal products because they don't have any black cords created yet. I know, total first world problem, but pretty annoying. Amazon usually does better.

Lost my original power adapter while traveling and was looking for a safe power supply replacement, I ordered a generic version that made the screen flicker so I promptly returned, I didnt want to damage my echo show 2 so I ordered this OEM replacement, a little more than I wanted to spend but that's the cost of peace of mind and a longer life for my echo show which I love.

Just like the original one

I guess it should be obvious that an Amazon power supply would be the go-to unit for an Amazon Echo Show. Alas, there are a boatload of wannabes out there, and they just can't compare to the product quality that Amazon puts their name on. This power supply is the clear winner. From packaging to build quality, both are clearly evident on this unit. And best of all, plug-n-play with not problems. So don't waste your time trying to save a buck or two, just get this one and forget the others. Works great!
