I enjoy this shitake Mushroom GF gravy/ sauce mix and several other Road's End GF gravy mixes. Easy to use and very tasty, whether you add sauted mushrooms or not. Add a browned meat and pour over rice, potatoes or GF noodles, or just have as a plain gravy over your roast with meat drippings or over potatoes. Having a easy fix gravy makes any meal special. And this gravy gives all the flavor without the fat.

Really tasty and easy

First I love both the herb and the golden gravies. The herb gravy tastes like "Thanksgiving" and the golden tastes like my mother's and grandmother's old-time cream gravy with none of the fat or dairy. I recently ordered 2 herb gravies and 1 cream gravy. I was sent 3 herb gravies and no cream gravy. I don't need to return the extra herb gravy since I can certainly eventually eat it, and in the review/complaint section of Amazon there is no way to communicate this. However I 1 - didn't get my cream gravy, and 2 - was charged the higher price of the cream gravy while receiving the lower-priced herb gravy. Oh well.

Ordered this for Thanksgiving dinner as several vegan/gluten intolerant folks in group. I thought it would be very savory, but was very bland. The guests did like it though.

Pretty good tasting vegan gravy. I make it about once a month. I don't see this in the stores very often, so it's nice to buy in bulk.

I have kept this on hand for a long time now--probably a decade. When my sons were younger, one of them had a whole slew of allergy issues. This gravy mix, in part because of its natural ingredients, in part because it's vegan and therefore nondairy became my cream of mushroom soup substitute in many recipes. Then, I found out that it made soups thicker and flavorful, so I added it there, too. I can't begin to tell you how many recipes I've adapted with this. And now that my sons are grown and no longer have their food allergies, I still buy it. Why? It tastes better and is better for us.

Having purchased this before in a grocery store and finding it very tasty and a great vegan alternative, I was SORELY disappointed to discover that this multipack tastes nothing like the one I'd bought previously. I have tried three packets and each ended up being lumpy (not what you want in a gravy!), off-tasting and virtually inedible. The expiration date stated 2027 but regardless, this was a bad batch. It appears that I cannot return this for a refund or replacement so I'm out $27. Suffice to say I won't be buying this from LUMlNlZE on Amazon in the future.

This is delicious gravy that's vegan and relatively low calorie. It's savory, but not too salty, in my opinion. We eat it with green beans, stuffing, potatoes, meat substitutes, squash, biscuits, and many other things. You can spice it up with pan fried mushrooms or whatever you like. It's really a go-to gravy. One pack makes enough to top one side for two people; or that's the break down at our house, at least. One word of caution: Follow the instructions for making it. That is, add the mix to a cold pot, add water, stir, then heat. If you heat the water, and dump in the gravy, it essentially turns into tiny dumplings. That is, you'll never get the clumps out. Also note that while it's super hot on the stove, it may seem a little runny. Just let it thicken a few minutes or more before serving. This reheats well, in my opinion, and can be brought back to a nice consistency.

This shitake gravy mix is excellent to have in the pantry. It adds flavour and complexity to ordinary boiled or steamed veggies, and even on plant-protein meats. I just dissolve it in a little room temperature water, then top it up with around a cup of steaming hot water - from the cooking veggies - then just pour it over the veggies themselves, or whatever else I'm cooking. It's super easy to make, it doesn't have too much salt, and it adds a good touch to an otherwise ho hum meal.

I did receive my package but it only contained one pouch of gravy. I'm very certain it's advertised as a 12 count so I expected 12 pouches of gravy. Especially since this product was almost $40.

Title says it all. I basically wasted 36$ on this. I also tried their so-called “mac and cheeze” which was as disappointing as this gravy. Never buying a product from that company ever again.

Two parts to this review....the product itself is delicious. HOWEVER, I paid CDN$ 35.88 for a 12 pack of this item. I ONLY received one pack. So that is a VERY EXPENSIVE $36 package of gravy
