My tutor goes in for conversation. I can get by speaking French, but my grammar is not great. This book is just what I needed. Mixed in with the basic grammar (agreement of adjectives etc) are little subtleties of grammar, like c'est vs. Il est, for example. Or the elusive uses of the pronouns y and en. Or the arbitrary behavior of verbs followed by prepositions. All the explanations and instructions are in French. This is an excellent incentive to vocabulary building. I sometime have to look up words to understand the grammar rules and the words in the exercises. My vocabulary is as limited as my grasp of grammar. I'm finding this text just challenging enough to be useful, but not so advanced as to be discouraging. In short this book is great for an intermediate learner with gaps of knowledge. One of the best French grammar books I own, over 600 exercises. I recommend you also get the answer key book (Corriges).

Buon libro di grammatica per chi si orienta già nei meandri della lingua. Completa ed approfondisce il manuale del livello precedente che invece mi sento di consigliare ai principianti assoluti. Utilizzato all'estero nelle scuole di lingua francese per stranieri. Esercizi pertinenti e cd per l'ascolto. Poichè vi si predilige l'aspetto della comprensione scritta chi cerca un testo per imparare l'uso quotidiano della lingua sarà meglio che opti per un testo specifico per l'apprendimento della lingua parlata.

Um excelente livro de françês, com muitos exercícios é um bom nível pedagógico, atendeu minhas expectativas. Espero que tenha mais edições.

LLego muy bien, no estaba maltratado, contiene un cd con audios, además puedes acceder a un e-book con la clave que viene al reverso de la primera página,

Produit livré dans le délai annoncé. Il correspond à la description donnée sur le site. Beaucoup d’exercices comme annoncé. Ce bouquin est solide, il permet de travailler les bases. L'épaisseur peu décourager certains mais on en a pour son argent.

Fantastique! I'm using this as a revision course (I'm around B1/B2 level). Clear and interesting. The fact that it's all in French (no English translations) makes you think more in French. Do remember, though, that the answers for the exercises aren't in this book. You need the Corrigés book to go with it. And I need to mention that some (very few) of the answers don't match up with the book. I think this is a proof-reading error as the book changed into this (third) edition. It doesn't hinder, but it's a bit of a surprise now and then.
