Great product, but not very sturdy!
I don't normally write reviews, but I feel a need to now. The trellis is beautiful and easy to assemble. We get several (and I don't mean just a few) comments on how beautiful it is. Cars are slowing down, people are stopping and commenting. They seem to really adore this piece. It's very easy to assemble and install. There is one concern you need to be made aware of; the directions call for you to install the posts 22 inches into the ground. The (above ground) height is 90". It's almost 4 times higher than it is deep! Know this before you buy. It moves about pretty good, so I put horizontal bracing to each post and tied the bracing to the wall. In my area, it can get pretty windy. I would strongly recommend adding the bracing regardless. It will give you some peace of mind. Buy the trellis. You won't regret it!

Really attractive large trellis
It’s quite large, so measure carefully. Also, be aware the stakes that are included will probably not keep your trellis standing unless one side is attached to a wall. It isn’t complicated to assemble, but it would be really hard (if not impossible) for 1 person to assemble alone because there are so many pieces that need to line up just right. Also would be nice if there were screw holes for all the screws! But once assembled & anchored properly, it’s a very attractive, tall trellis. Color is a bit lighter than pictured- they call it “redwood,” but I would describe it as medium brown.

Unmarked verticals
I’m happy with my purchase over all. I rated it 4 stars because the vertical slates weren’t numbered like the directions said they would be. Since they are just an inch difference in the length it caused a hassle that would have been avoided if they were properly marked

Very large
These will take about 20 mins to assemble. They are very big and secure very well. We have them against a wall so I’m not sure about stand alone. They look like wood but are vital so willHold up for many many years. The hardware is high quality and all the screws are stainless. Intentional for outdoor use.

Looks close to wood without the drawbacks.
I settled on this trellis as an alternative to wood. I wanted something that wouldn't rot away after years to come. Its a medium/light wood tone with a sandy looking finish and minimal texture. Don't expect deep rich tones because its a mix of vinyl and wood fibers. The assembly was a bit annoying trying to align the slots with the panels. I don't recommend assembling this until you are ready to put in the ground immediately. I assembled weeks in advance for a backyard renovation and delays meant it sat leaning against my house and flat on the deck for extended periods of time. This ultimately warped the frame which is disappointing. Now that its up, it looks nice and I'm looking forward to my climbing rose to arrive. The spacing of the lattice looks perfect for roses. I'll try and update my review once the rose is established.

Really nice looking addition to the garden.
I bought 2 of these, they are vinyl, and they are really impressive looking when assembled. Only four stars because both units had been opened before and were missing parts, which was inconvenient. That said, the customer service was excellent and the proper parts were sent quickly. They do look like wood, and the finished product looks like a high quality structure. You cannot tell it isn’t wood and I’m hoping for many years of enjoyment as it will not rot like wood. I would recommend this item, and I may buy some more for myself.

Assembled easily BY MYSELF
If you have a little forethought, this is easy to put together with one person. After putting the horizontals into the holes of the post....PUT THE MIDDLE VERTICAL in and then put the other post on! This squares the entire thing and therefore makes filling in the rest of the verticals really easy. Yes, putting the other post on early will mean you will have to slip it open a little in order to get the top arch in. This truly is the most difficult part. I can't see this being a major problem. Then, be sure to lay it flat, get a triangle or square to be sure everything is square, and put in the screws. Nicely make, looks fairly convincing as stained wood.

Beautiful but hardly strong enough for free standing.
Because this trellis is so tall, after a few days I noticed leaning from the top as in not sturdy enough to hold it’s own weight when free standing (I have it securely attached to a large planter, using some of the extension feet provided, similar to planting straight into the ground, but attached to back of tall planter with bolts) . The attached pictures show the bubble level of the planter (good) and the same for the top of trellis (off). It was perfect at first, so it tells me the plastic grade for such size it’s not the best. I cannot imagine how it would hold up with climbers weighing down on it permanently! For now my plan is to simply secure it back to the wall behind it, but other users who were planning to have it free-standing in the middle of the garden may not have this option. Other than this, it is very beautiful and I assembled it fairly quickly with no help needed. Just make sure to follow correct order of vertical bars, and run a level before adding the little screws (to avoid an unsightly skewed trellis).

Best garden trellis I could find
Great product. Easy to assemble. It’s slightly lighter in colour then a naturally stained western red cedar, but it still looks great. The only thing I would improve on from a build perspective is the plastic ground mounting extensions.
