Q: Why do you show this product upside down, with the stopper on the wrong way?

Not sure why vendor shows it this way. Mine came assembled correctly, albeit one could switch it around if it arrived as shown.

Q: do these fit in a 5 gallon glass carboy (water jug)?

Thank you for your inquiry. The #6 stopper is designed for use with the one gallon glass jug. A #7 drilled stopper works great for the 5 gallon glass carboys.

Q: does this fit right into the bottle, or is another gormmet or cork needed?

Hello, Fits right in the bottle. Provides air tight seal. You may want to use a little water when putting the airlock into the stopper to ease it in as its tight. Good product. No issues.

Q: Will these fit a 3 gallon carboy?

Unless you purchased an off-brand carboy with an unusually large hole they will. They fit everything I have from 1/2 gallon jugs all the way up to 5 and 6 gallon carboys.
