Oracle Tuning: The Definitive Reference

Really like this book. Read through first 600 pages first few days I had it. Tagged bunch of pages to refer back to. Shared book with teammates. They liked, also.

Until now I have read only a few pages, however it was enough to change many concepts and solidify analysis about performance and tuning

As an oracle DBA since oracle 6, I have been a big fan of Burleson's books and online posts. The guy really get it when it comes to oracle performance, so I would highly recommend this book to technical professionals interested in making their queries fly.Much of the material is also available online, but it is nice to have it organized and packaged for ease of access - which this book does quite well.

doesn't cover 11g or 12c as mentioned.

Very good book! It might be too complicated to understand every single thing in it right now, but some of the tips in this book have already helped me find a solution in my work to speed up some sql statements.
