I am a teacher who suddenly found video conferencing put her shabby little home on display for all her students and colleagues. Hanging this photo backdrop up gave my background some interest and made the wall behind me look modern and chic. It was so much cheaper than a renovation and not as corny as using one of the zoom app green screen backgrounds. I hung the fabric up on my wall using command strips and it's not budging. I sprayed it with Downy wrinkle release and the creases from the folds fell out. No iron or dryer required. In person, the ink on the paneled print looks almost brown or army green, but in photos and on video conferences by computer the fabric has a modern grey wash color, very chic. You absolutely can not tell in photos or video that it is fabric and not an actual wall.

I was looking for backdrops NOT made of vinyl because the creases are almost impossible to clean out, even in post production. Kate Backdrops are made of microfiber, which means they are washable and iron-able! When they (I bought two) came out of the box, they have creases, naturally, since they were folded into boxes. They were super easy to take out with my steamer (I try not to iron my clothes; steaming is better for cloth). In fact, I like the two 8x8' backdrops so much, I went to Kate Backdrop's website and bought four more! They were running a sale. =) FYI: I tested this backdrop with this other decoration I bought also on Amazon. I put it up in my living room and to the right of the backdrop is the front door, so this is all natural lighting. This picture has a slight filter on it. My only complaint is that it doesn't look as white as it should without processing. But honestly, it looks great after production.

This is velvet-like material. It’s light but also good weight. Looks good on camera. And it flows. It’s wrinkle-free and easy to just roll up when not in use, then let it down and viola! You are ready to film again. It is like a theater curtain. Very flowy fabric and you can easily leave your filming space and come back and the backdrop falls back to the same place. It’s much-much better than plastic/vinyl.

Looks very 3D, which was most important to me. Looks more 3D in pics than just standing in front of it. Good sturdy material. Tried to iron wrinkles out first with iron on low but color pattern started to melt, so stopped right away. Used a steamy and wrinkles come right out. Recommend storing it rolled up to keep wrinkles out, or use a steamy each time you unfold it.

Durability... hard to determine without owning for a longer period of time. However, I was extremely surprised with the quality of the fabric. Exactly as it says wrinkle free! less than a minute out of the box there was absolutely no visible lines to the front or even the back. It's soft and pleasing to look at. I plan on taking photos with it in the next week so maybe I can give it a 5-star rating after using it a few sessions.

This is an EXCELLENT backdrop. I order many backdrop as I am a publicist/photographer/videographer for a local business. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. Its a heavy felt material allowing for minimal wrinkles. However, any wrinkles the product does get are easily removed with a steamer. The loop at the top for the bar to hang the product is well stitched and durable. The dark wood background looks incredibly real in camera frame (with a 1.8 aperture) and gives the appearance of being 3D. I loved the first one I got so much I just ordered a second one in the white wood!

As soon as I took it out of the package, I knew this is NOT your average backdrop. I had originally ordered from somewhere else a white brick vinyl backdrop that was "cheap", well you get what you pay for. It was horrible, tons of shadows that created lines and wrinkles. So I decided to fork out the money for two of these vertical wood back drops and see what they are about. I hardly ever leave reviews, they have an amazing feel and touch. My studio is going to look great! Thank you Kate! Highly recommended!!

I am very satisfied with the quality fabric, and stitched edge for pole hanging (though I am using if for a table top product shoot), but it is WAY TOOOO RED in comparison to the advertised photos shown! The overall comfortable brown tone is not there. If I didn't need it for a job tomorrow morning, I would repackage it and return it today! Though, I honestly doubt I will use it, thus returning it later. I am very disappointed with the false advertisement, and/or lack of quality control with this print run. Didn't expect this from Kate.

This totally met my expectations. Was very realistic and perfect fit my Christmas themed backdrop

What a quality backdrop, i am really happy and because its fabric its easy to wash and get rid of the wrinkles.

Can't fault it. Does the job nicely. Looks great according to people I've been in virtual meetings with. I'm going to pick up about a 50mm or so lengthy of round timber so I can easily roll it up and keep it free from creases.

I like the material but don't like the color. Actually you cannot appreciate the design. Needs more color. Don't work.

The colour didn’t arrive white as in the photo, it almost has a yellow hue. Even with test shots you can tell it’s not white. Thickness is nice. However, not worth the price (cheaper to go to fabric land and find something similar). The material looks like a fabric land cut of fabric as well (not lined etc). I will be returning.
