Vitrea 160, Glass Paint Iridescent Medium, 45 ml Bottle

I was nervous buying this for a couple reasons 1) no one reviewed the iridescent paint and 2) didn't want to put my vintage glass lamp in the oven. But it worked great, like other reviewers it showed paint streaks but it added a pretty touch, kept the whole of it very vintage

Pebeo Vitrea 160 Glass Paint Iridescent Medium is so beautiful by itself and mixed with Pebeo Vitrea 160 glossy or frosted colors. If mixing with Pebeo glossy colors, I use ¼ to ½ of frosting medium to ½ glossy colors, but you can really play around with it to get the look you want. Its tack dry in a few minutes and requires 24 hours to be completely dry. After it is completely dry you can bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Place your painted glassware in your cold oven, close oven door, turn the oven on to 325 degrees, after your oven has reached the temperature of 325 degrees, turn your timer to 45 minutes, when times goes off turn your oven off, DO NOT OPEN OVEN DOOR for at least 1 hour (60 minutes). After one hour open your oven door and leave your glassware in the oven with door open for 2 to 3 hours. After this i always place my glassware on table for 72 hours before doing anything to it including using it or embellishing it or getting it wet. Outstanding product!!! 10++

Very beautiful color!! I have experimented alot with this paint and have found that if you are looking for more of the blueish hue that say a natural rainbow moonstone has, use a thinner coat.

The end result is more of a frosted look than an iridescent look. But it’s still a nice look. Right is original, left is painted.

I use Pebeo Vitrea 160 Glass Paint a lot! I own a custom art business and started doing glass painted a few years ago. I bough my frist Pebeo Vitrea paint in the Micheal's craft store before they stopped carrying it to try it out and i fell in love. I did a bunch of research to find the best paint for my purpose and this is what i came up with. I've bought almost every color and medium of Pebeo Vitrea's glass paint and have been very happy with it. It has a nice transparent look which is nice and elegant on glassware. I bought this medium for a special order. The client wanted a sparkly look to the paint. Unfortunately since this paint in iridescent it's not only sparkly, but also has a blueish hugh to the paint. As long as you want that look it is great, just mix it in with other Pebeo Vitrea paint and go, but keep in mind it will have a blue hugh.

It was a good quality as I expected. Delivery was smooth.

I could wish they also make opaque paint for glass, but this has been very useful. I've used it on glass and a ceramic statue left behind by a kid. Works great.

This paint medium arrived already dry in the bottle. Very disappointing.

I use this paint to create glass effect on miniatures made from epoxy clay. 2 coats gives an amazing iridescent finish! Great quality and value for money

I was a little disappointed with the effect, there was a very slight shimmer but overall looked opaque. I didn't use it in the end .
