Good quality. Don’t let the lack of reviews throw you off.
There’s only one other review right now on this, so I figured I’d give my initial unboxing and first test reaction. Overall, this thing feels good quality and does the job excellently. First thought when opening: this thing is small. Fits in the palm of the hand. Also, it doesn’t come with batteries. Not a big deal, but it wouldn’t be too hard to include a cheap set to get started with. You get what you pay for, and compared to a couple other more expensive Polyscience/Breville look-a-likes that come with accessories and free wood chips, this just has the smoker. And a decent one at that. Though it’s small, it feels weighty in the hand. Doesn’t feel plastic-y at all. The ad copy seems a bit flowery saying it’s super quiet, but it actually is quiet-ish. It makes noise, but not an upleasant one. The wood chip tray removes easily for cleaning. Though the wire mesh is a bit wide spaced, causing some of the chips to fall through. It stays contained in the removable tray and empties easy. Nothing got sucked into the fan mechanism area. The fan puts out a decent volume of thick smoke. It seems the trade off you get with the price savings is only a lack of accessories like covers and wood chips - and not the quality of the actual smoker. I can live with that. I bought this totally on my own decision. No free products, real buyer, with my own money. I’d buy again. Don’t let the lack of reviews throw you off.

Don’t use too much wood chips!
This little item works incredibly well! The first time I used it, I made the mistake of putting wood chips level with the top of the fire basket. That’s too much. The fan was not able to get a good “draw” on the chips and only the very top of the chips were ignited and producing a very slight stream of smoke. I emptied the basket and only filled it loosely with about half the amount of wood chips. This time, wow! A steady stream of thick white smoke was pouring out the rubber tube! It will easily fill a large Tupperware container in 15-20 seconds with thick dense smoke! Highly recommend! You don’t need one of the more expensive units! Their instructions are almost non-existent, so heed my advice on not overloading the chips. Easier to light and keep going with plenty of smoke!

First smoker
I bought this to smoke non vegan cheeses and vegetables for sandwiches. (I am vegan). It works quite well but burns quickly - within a minute. Just as well because it pumps the smoke filled air into the bag or container. I tried it with a plastic baggie and of course the smoke billowed out around the hose - even after I taped it. Then I bought the dome but the smoke just billows out from under the dome. No problem with the smoker, I just have to figure out what to put the food in that I am trying to smoke.

Yummy + Fun
Our eyes met from across a smoky room...and we fell in love. Well, ok, romance aside, for that occasional desire to get fancy and smoke something, this little guy is really cool. Fast, easy, and effective. I bought a few as gifts, and people were excited to get one and try it out. I also have some natural (wood chips and plant matter) incense that normally has to be burned on a charcoal disk; this smoker allows me to pack the chamber, light it for 30 seconds, and my house smells amazing.

Amazed
I have to admit hat I had never heard of infusion smoking until I read an article about bartenders making smoked cocktails. The reviews on this product seemed good so I ordered the smoker and purchased a bag of extra fine apple wood. Last evening I tried it for the first time.I chilled a rocks glass and went outside. I lit the wood chips with a small butane torch. With the fan running, the chips lit instantly and in seconds a lot of smoke was exiting the end of the tubing. I held the glass upside down and left it fill with smoke for a few seconds and then turned off the smoker fan. After leaving the smoke in the upside down glass for ten seconds or so I turned the glass upright and poured in some whiskey, I then fired up the smoker for just long enough to fill the space above the whiskey with smoke. The smoke very slowly drifted out of the glass. I was amazed how much smoke taste the whiskey picked up. Getting the smokiness to the level one likes best will take a bit of trial and error but it definitely adds another nuance to the drink. With so many different wood chips and dried herbs there are a multitude of possible smoke influences. The unit says to not operate for more than 30 seconds to prevent overheating because the fan is drawing a lot of air down through the burning chips. One can let the unit cool a bit and then run it again but 10-15 seconds and a pinch of wood chips is plenty for one glass. I will need to try blowing the smoke into a cloche (cover) that can hold a dinner plate or multiple glasses. The unit has some weight to it which makes it feel well built. Time will tell what the lifespan of the unit is. I imagine excess heat will be the greatest problem as it is drawn down into the moving parts of the unit. I suggest shopping around for the wood as over paying there will exceed the cost of the unit. A pinch of wood does the trick. If you have a burning desire for another kitchen/bar toy, give it a try.

Produces a huge amount of smoke for a short period
You need to have everything ready to go when you light this thing as it immediately begins outputting smoke as soon as it is lit. I tried various fuels from chips, pellets and course sawdust. The sawdust produces the best smoke by far but is the hardest to clean up. If you don't know how to use it, look it up, it's really easy. This little thing seems so simple but works extremely well and at the current price is all the more reason to just buy it.

Wancle Smoking Gun FTW!
This is a sturdy, well built smoking gun. It easily beats both the smoking guns I already had, though admittedly neither of them were overly spendy. All 3 are in the same price range (a Gourmia I bought on Amazon, and one I bought elsewhere) and the Wancle outperforms them hands down. The fan is powerful and directs more smoke from less chips/sawdust. There is a hard plastic tapered plastic nozzle on the tubing that helps you direct smoke under the dome/cloche. The screen for the wood shavings is very sturdy, where others are flimsy. The tubing is shorter than the others but that is not a problem at all. Also both other guns use 4 batteries and the Wancle only 2, which is nice.
