The pictures in the book transport you back to a time when India was on the cusp of a major economic change. Being a part of the current young cosmopolitan India in 2015, these pictures remind me largely of the India I grew up in and saw images of on the state broadcast television network through the late 80's and early 90's.The pictures are breathtaking and a true testament to Steve McCurry's genius.

Man, I never expected the book to be this big in size but nevertheless that makes the photographs inside even more lively.... I am a great fan of Steve McCurry and I wish I could have met him someday. Anyways, thanks to my dad for such a lovely and priceless birthday gift....

Beautiful collection of images in a coffee table format depicting India from the master Steve McCurry!!

I expected a different book. While the photos are stunning, I had the impression it would give also some stories and area description for each photo. I thought it would be an informative beautiful photo book but it is a photo book with no information which I think is a shame. At the very end of the book is a short overview referencing the location where the photo was taken but you need to go from the photo page to the back of the book and the information is as brief as it can be.

Well, I love India and I love McCurry's work. This another collection of wonderful, evocative, colourful, well composed and captured shots from the master. Steve McCurry is the definitive photographer of the sub continent. I look at it again and again and wish I was as good as Steve.

I travelled to India earlier this year allowing me to gain a glimpse into the world of colour, excitement, richness, poverty etc etc. It's all in this book giving the reader an insight into India like no other. I have just read through in an excited manner hastily wanting get a glimpse of the next fabulous photograph. Buy this book, You won't be dissapointed. You will miss out however if you don't purchase it !!! It's fabulous.

Some of Steve's photos appear in many of his books, so I had seen a lot of these before, but don't miss out on the thrilling new ones nor fail to be delighted on seeing those pictures again and again anyway

An absolutely beautiful book and incredible photographs. I love the design, as the books quite large you can really study the images and appreciate the artistry. The perfect gift for my mum who adores India!

We love Steve's pictures. But nothing here that you wouldn't have seen before if you follow his work.
