Q: Building SBF 427 crate motor, can this be used till first oil change needed or just for breaking in?

This oil is for break in. Run for the first 500 miles than change to the oil you will normally run. For my older engine I use Valvoline VR1 because of the high zinc level after break in.

Q: Can this be used to break in a small 4 stroke engine? Or is it just for racing motors?

I would use the BR30 non-detergent oil for any engine, especially if it has flat tappers. The extra moly & zinc are great for cam break-in. If in doubt, call their tech line.
