I love this for my cat. I tried those fountains but dust and food gets stuck and recycles back into the water which is un-hygenic. This was the perfect solution. I tried the 1 gallon but the bowl is too bog and doesn't seem to replenish as fast as the half gallon size. This size is perfect because the bowl is big enough for my cat and replenishes with fresh water. Also if anything gets inside the bowl, I flush the bowl under the sink and a fresh supply of water refills the bowl. My cat drinks alot of water and the half gallon lasts pretty long. Although my cat drinks alot of water, she didn't get through the 1 gallon fast enough. I frequently changed the water in the tank in order to replace it with fresh oxygenated water. This is perfect and easy to wash.

I purchased this product while my kitty and I were staying long-term with friends. This is the perfect size for one cat as the water amount last a longtime. Easy to put together and clean. Not too heavy when filled with water to carry. Happy that it is BPA-Free. The screw on cap does get a bit slimy after a while, or so I noticed when changing the water, but I'm a bit picky with those types of things so that might not bother others. This is a nice addition to the home if you don't want to constantly check a water dish level and know your fur baby has an adequate water supply, or if you go somewhere overnight you know that water won't run out. It's not too big, so if you travel by car on a trip with your fur baby this would be great to bring along. I would recommend purchasing.

It's for a very small dog or a cat... I bought it for some rescue Doberman pups but when I got it I realized that I had made a mistake by not checking dimensions. So I decided to keep it for my little 5 pound chihuahua and 8 pound cat to use as their community water bowl. Its so blue you cant even tell the water is in it until you reach in and feel, its so clear... I move it all over when i clean so its extremely easy to move around and it has a clear top to see when you need to refill and you can make sure your animals are drinking enough water. It's very easy to fill up and as long as you put it in correctly, it pops right into place and fills the bowl to the proper amount and stops on its own when it hits about an 1/8" from the top. I love the color and appearance. Its super cute even being so small. Performs exactly as I expected it to. Hope this helps in deciding whether its for you or not. I think it holds maybe 1/2 a gallon. It lasts them about a week.

Really nice quality bowl here. I like that it has a filter for the reservoir. That's a plus! I do wish that I would have ordered a bigger one since I have a full grown German Shepherd and a Black Lab. I'll be having to refill this more often that I did with my other one. That's totally my fault. lol. The water dispenser is super easy to setup but I did notice that it wobbles when you screw it on to the base. It doesn't seem to fall out or come out of the locking grooves but I guess I'm lucky here that it's not the bigger one or there would be water all over the place. In the end, I like the water dispenser. It says it has an antimicrobial protection on the base to prevent mold and algae. I don't have bird here to come and dip food in the water like at my previous home. That would cause it to get dirty rather fast. Size wise, If i need more water for my dogs, I'll end up switching this one for my indoor cat and purchasing a bigger one for my dogs.

I WANTED this in peacock blue but DIDN'T want to pay an additional $11 extra dollars for what? ?Color? Nah. (Even though it WOULD match our blue litter box) So silver gray it is.This is SUPER huge. I mean four gallons, it would have to be, right? l thought Amazon had overpackaged when the huge box arrived. Nope.It all seems sturdy. No cheap plastic.It IS super easy to assemble and clean when refilling. Other reviewers cited the 'filter strap' being difficult. I have pain and numbness in both hands, no nails to manipulate with and it wasn't difficult. ...And I maybe don't change the filter from the first one. I did not have any unpredictable spills - Not that I didn't spill... The bottom (gray) piece is actually two pieces, and they were not quite clicked together....Water splashed through an opening I wasn't aware of, between pieces, at first. And, like with my dog's last gravity waterer, I filled the bowl before I "flip and plant" the filled bottle into the bowl. This prolonged time between needing to fill the waterer again. Also I found this prevented "losing" a lot of water to the bowl that l just spent time putting into the bottle.THAT might be the best method with this product! I have read reviews citing "gushing" water when bottles are planted into empty bowls....so maybe at least put some water in the bowl. Plus with this product....that bowl holds a lot of water, like, a LARGE storage quantity itself without the bottle. the 'big gulp' of water dishes.The bottle then needs to turn to click/lock into dish. Had to learn that. Or the bottle is slightly...off. Not a problem with water flow. But that instinct of: "is that.. off?" Indeed it is my friend. I think there is a definite learning curve to using such a large waterer successfully. But my family is SUPER phobic of water spills (after our fridge water ruined our entire kitchen. Then that plumber left a bathtub running, ruining our bathroom as well) Basically we have PTSD if we see water spills or hear water running. So if we can handle this sitting in our rebuilt kitchen, anyone can!I can not speak to 'freshness'. I don't drink from it. The four leggeds don't mind.The reason we BOUGHT this is we adopted a indoor cat in addition to our dog. And it is DRY where we live. When this arrived and was unassembled, we actually put the cat INTO the gray dish(sorry no photo). Judge all you want, it was adorable.... And freakin' roomy! Anyhow. Water bowl itself holds a lot of water. Then there's the sturdy clear bottle. It all buys you a lot of time between chores, err.. piece of mind that my fur babies will have water.BUT since it holds so much you can go a LONG time without messing with it. There is a certain ick factor when (again) in our arrid climate dust, fur, or cat litter collect in the bowl. this doesn't bother the pets, just me. So I refill/clean/reset the whole thing just to clean the bowl before my beasts need more water. Yes, I have small creatures. this is more than I need for them. Better than having less than I need!And OBVIOUSLY this amount of water, four gallons, weights a lot. Frail people need not apply. Or maybe just use it as an excuse to make people visit you to fill the water bottle. I'll update if theres major change with the product. UPDATE: Product still going strong. Kitten is a cat, still fits in the gray dish. Went from waterer next to litter box to cat tree between them and waterer against wall. Less crap collects in water and cat REALLY enjoys the huge bowl. She will splay over the water like its going places. Other times she sits down dipping her paws in to lick water off her paws to drink. ..not sure if THAT is how she drinks water, or is just a game. This thing is half water dish half swimming pool. And its too sturdy for a cat or my #14 dog to tip over. Makes my cat love water. That is what l? care about.

Our first. Water system did not work and was replace without question and quickly. Keeps dogs hydrated
