Super comfy and flexible
I was looking for an all suede skate boot for flexibility and not so much concerned with the stability. These skates are super soft, flexible and comfy! I was in between sizes in the Sure Grip brand and tried these and they are great on my feet. I wear an 8.5 in running shoes and ordered a euro 39; women’s 8; men 6.5 and they fit great! I have a wide foot and they are perfect. Not restricting at all! Good quality suede uppers and wheels are so pretty and roll smooth. True to size and great for beginners. They even come with the tool to make adjustments as needed.

Absolutely flawless
The media could not be loaded. I’m not a pro skater by any stretch, but I have been rollin’ for awhile. I have three other pairs from other brands, and while Chaya is still a respectable 2nd, BTFL has totally changed my skate game. I was in love by the time I’d laced up my first boot.1) Comfort: if I’m not comfy on my skates, I’m screwed. These beauties are very pliable, and will eventually mold to my feet. They have padding where I tend to put the most pressure - until now I’ve been wearing my own ankle protectors, but no need with BTFL.2) Wheels: these were the tipping point for me ~ I’m going from street/derby style to artistic, and these are exactly what I needed to add some grace to my moves. They’re the perfect width I need for dance, and the rounded edges make transitions so much more intuitive.3: Heels: I don’t wear skates with heels. I’ve always had derby skates (they usually look like a skate shoe) - I think I thought they were more low key (plus I have fallen arches - heels HURT.)I take it all back. The little adjustment in balance helping all my turns and practice drills look 10x better. This whole brand is great at maintaining a retro feel with understated features that are essential to a quality skate. I have flat feet so I wear insoles, but I’m totally flabbergasted how much these heels in particular have helped my posture.4) Style: I’ve skated Chaya, Moxi, Bont, and Riddell, and these just win over everything I’ve worn so far. I didn’t realize how beautiful they were until I was already wearing them, but these are genuinely lovely skates. I’m so excited at the adjustable toe stop and the extra ankle support, and the laces are long enough to wrap around through the back loop if I want more stability.BTFL, 12/10. I can’t say enough. Whoever you are, if you’ve looked at these skates more than once, please trust me when I tell you these are IMBECCABLE.

Very smooth ride, and comes with the tool you need
These are beautiful, quality skates. They have a very smooth ride. They are lovely to look at and eye-catching, and seem well-designed. I trust German engineering, they generally have very high standards for safety and functionality. I don't know if this matters to anyone but the wheels feel thick and bouncy and rubbery to the touch which felt safe to me. The sizing didn't seem right for me though. Their website says to size up if you're in between sizes, but when you read blogs on the subject everyone says that roller skates should have your toes hitting right at the top of the shoe without space so that they act as an extension of your foot. These felt slightly too roomy on me, even with thick socks, and I think it did affect me feeling safe and secure. Since I am actually much closer to the size down, and given that they are a nice leather, I would think it more likely that the leather would stretch a little, so I'm returning them and getting the smaller pair. Heads up though, this is not an easy UPS store barcode return for U.S. customers, you do have to print a shipping label for it. If you don't have a printer, UPS will charge you $3 to print a label even though it's a "free return" through Amazon. Also to note, I must not have read the description carefully after looking at so many different products because I fell for the "Customers who bought these skates also bought this handy tool" Amazon up-sell, but it turns out, the only tool that you need to adjust the wheels and stopper is included in the box with these skates!

Great Skates!!!
I used to be an avid skater and it’s been a while since I’ve gone to the rink. The skates look exactly like the picture: good quality genuine leather suede and the wheels are pretty. These were fine right out of the box and wearing these skates made it easy to transition back on the floor seamlessly. These wheels offer a smooth ride with a little bit of resistance (hardness is under 90A). I will change my wheels to 90A when I feel more comfortable and confident with my skating. The boot is comfortable and I was able to adjust the truck for maneuverability and the toe stop is also adjustable. To my surprise, a tool for adjusting the truck and toe stop was included in the box (not mentioned in the specs and not made for removing skate wheels). I had ordered a tool for around $7 not knowing that one came in the box, but it can be used take the wheels off so you’ll need to order a separate tool anyway.Overall, it’s a great skate for all types of skaters. I look forward to hours of skating in these. I did a lot of research before buying and these skates hit all the marks that the experts recommended.(I didn’t have the skates and tool with me when I wrote this so I’ll take pictures and will post them shortly.)

Worth it!
It’s been 30+ years since I skated and decided to try it again. Went to the skating rink and rented one of their skates. I about died within a minute after putting those on, so I knew that I just had to buy my own skates. Better ones! After much research I decided on getting these and let me tell you. A game changer. Not only that they are pretty to look at, they are comfortable and supportive and steady! True to size (because you can only hope when you pick your size of anything online).Arrived sooner than expected, a big plus!My only issue.. for the price - they should have come with a carrying bag. Really..

Comfortable, artistic skates
Get these skates. If you’re unsure what skates to get, these are the ones you need to try. I wear 7 1/2 women’s shoes, I bought size 7. Perfect fit, wider toe box.
