3DS Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey (Nintendo 3DS)

This game is a classic and is well deserving of that title.It is a phenomenal experience with some uniquely fun gameplay that makes use of the full range of the DS' controls, as well as some very charming characters. This game probably has one of the best characterisations for Bowser in the series, it really makes him an endearing character to play.I've seen some level the criticism that this remake looses some of the charm of the original art style, but while it is a little different, I think it still looks great the new enhanced style works fantastically in certain areas.All in all, Bowser's Inside Story is and always will be an amazing game, and this remake is a great way to experience it.

Bowsers Inside Story released for the Nintendo DS in 2009. It’s my favourite game ever made. Combination of the fantastic music, environments, gameplay, characters and overall story. Everything follows series tradition of new and interesting characters, and yet another take on the mushroom kingdom.The thing which is different this time is instead of just Mario and Luigi, you also get to play as Bowser who is the star of the show here. Bowser is a joy to play as and his interactions with the main villain fawfup are the best in the game.On to the remake. Being a huge fan of the original I’ve been very critical when playing this game. Everything is basically how it was before but in a new coat of paint following the same style as the other games on 3DS. There are a few improvements here and there, music changes and gameplay tweaks but overall the experience is just as amazing as ever.I haven’t touched Bowser Jrs Journey yet but looking forward to.The original game is still the superior one for me due to nostalgia, the old sprites, sound effects and overall feel but the remake does what a remake should and does it right10/10

There are, as you will know, no end of Nintendo games featuring Mario.The USP of this game sees Mario and Luigi teaming up (for once) with Bowser and going inside him (like that movie Inner Space?) to serve both their interests.What this results in is a game that is part platform and part combat.This was bought for my son and was entirely his choice and I have to say that for me it is not my favourite.I found that the combat game elements were a bit repetitive and time-consuming and I was more interested in the journey part of the game.That said, my son really, really likes it, the story behind it and the novelty of the normal enemies teaming up (to an extent). It's probably an age thing as all that's wasted on me but as a general platform game that element works okay.Overall this is quite enjoyable despite my reservations and is, I guess, essential for Mario completists.For me it wouldn't be a first choice purchase but if you asked my son he would say that it would be and he'd add an extra star at least onto this review's score. If I could give a 3.5 I would as I think it does deserve that I couldn't bring myself to award it 4 stars as at times I was bored playing this.

Malgrado un piccolo ritardo di qualche giorno (causa problemi di disponibilità), il gioco mi è stato consegnato. Il gioco era nuovo, ancora da scartare. Divertentissimo RPG di Mario. Nonostante la confezione sia in inglese, il gioco è al 100% italiano. Consigliato a tutti gli amanti del genere.

I bought this for my son for his birthday. Imagine my surprise when the game wouldn't upload. Turns out, I got to learn something new - there are games that are set to work in certain regions and not others. The game I bought works in Europe but not the US....which is interesting because the name of the company selling it is USOnline. I made an assumption - an incorrect assumption. You can look at the number 3 on the case and know it's not a US game (I know that now). The customer service people were kind telling me how I can get solve the problem - make an account with the UK, download the game, and then switch over to the US account. My son didn't want to use up the space on his 3DS with that so I tried returning it. Turns out shipping cost will only be slightly less than what I paid for the game. So not worth trying to get a refund. Now we are trying to figure out how to get a new account. If I didn't know there were region games, do you think I know how to make a UK account? This is ridiculous. While they do have everything on the page (there is A LOT of info on a very busy page), I think it would be better practice for them to sell this on AMAZON.CO.UK and not amazon.com. What they are doing is poor business.
