GP Batteries 23AE A23 12v Alkaline Batteries (Pack of 5)

Well, these batteries work perfectly. I needed one for an outdoor remote control, I used for my Christmas ornaments. But the funny this was, I guess I didn't look at the add correctly. I thought there was one battery per package. So I bought two, thinking I would have a spare. But low and behold, when they arrived, there were 10 batteries in all. Two packages of 5 each. Oh well. That's the trouble being a senior citizen. You don't always see whats in front of you. LOL But they work perfectly, were inexpensive, and arrived in a timely matter. So I guess I should have given them a 5 star rating. So I will change my old 4 to a 5.

ease of installation in the fan remote !

I purchase these batteries for ceiling fan remotes. I believe they are good quality; however the ones I received had a expiration date of 6 months out and right now I only need one battery ( buying in bulk most time is the best deal) thus the 3 star for longevity. I really wish I knew how long they would last. The problem was rectified thou. I hope to update with the real longevity one day.

These batteries are usually used for medical devices & garage door openers (as I understand) but I had two remote controls for a remotely-switched 120V outlet (used for Christmas lights) and the remote batteries had died. I saw these here on Amazon, and they where way cheaper than in local stores (if they even carried them) including Radio Shack. Delivered promptly and working great, I now don't have to fumble behind my furniture to disconnect lights from an unswitched outlet. Can't speak for them used for more important purposes (medical, etc) but for my needs they are cheap and effective, and I have spares for the future. A simple, solid buy.

I have 5 ceiling fans in my FL house that have similar remotes. If a remote battery is dead, the fan is non-functional. However, thanks to these long-life batteries!

I ordered my 23A batteries from National Deals, because I was very happy with my first order from them. Batteries are fresh in manufacturers packaging. Also, they are a great deal, getting 5 batteries for the price of 2 batteries if I bought them local.On the other hand, I ordered CR2013 batteries from a different seller and found that the batteries were not fresh or reconditioned. They came in what looked like the manufacturers packaging and the batteries said Eveready, but 2 out of 5 of them were bad right out of the package. And when I tested the other 3 batteries, they were not as fully charged as they should have been. Some people don't realize that a 3V battery should test at 3.25v or more to actually be fully charged. So be careful to read reviews from users that actually tested the batteries, when you order batteries on line.

I purchased these 12 years ago. Just used one. Works perfectly. I would say that's excellent shelf life!
