The books are great fun to read and have a great lesson. I always enjoy Debbie Maccomber books and always laugh and cry as I read. Lots of life lessons to be learned. Can't wait to read the next one.

I enjoyed this trio of December holiday stories
I enjoyed this trio of December holiday stories, as unlike many "inspirational" books they had Catholic and Jewish characters as well as a Protestant (no denomination given) one. In so many books of this type, the religion is rather vaguely evangelical Protestant, so for those of us who are not members of one of those churches, this book is a refreshing change.Ms Macomber also tackles two controversial subjects in the Catholic-themed story -- birth control and bullying. This makes the book a little edgier than most of her stories, but I applaud the chance she took in discussing these issues. While the main character comes out for abstaining from premarital sex, she also discusses safe sex for those who are not ready or interested in abstaining, even if it means a challenge to the beliefs of her church. The other two stories are more conventional Macomber -- a Jewish girl who has to chose between two men, even if it means bringing unhappiness to her parents, and the final story of a country girl in the Big Apple trying to make it on Broadway. In the latter story there was a nice piece at Ellis Island about an immigrant ancestor. This book had more sex of the heavy necking and petting variety than in many of the Angel series. Good narrative writing but nothing literary, and realistic dialog. A feel good story for the holidays.

Learning to Dream and accepting the consequences
This is the 3rd book in this series and the 3 angels once again take on more than they realize. I’m not sure why I didn’t find these stories as interesting and amusing as I found the earlier ones. Perhaps it is because the situations are darker and the romance more forced than before. There are fun episodes like having the Statue of Liberty decide to rotate around on her pedestal or large flakes of snow falling from a cloudless sky, but the end results of each of the 3 situations seems forced and abrupt rather than a consequence of the earlier actions.
